Excellent. Only .012" step per side at the shoulder. That is .001" shy of the world's smallest factory loaded shoulder, the 10.75x68mm Mauser. Thanks, Jeffe and Rich. Obviously it works for one handloader so far.

Thanks, once again to my friend Jeffe. RIP, it seems to be working well enough to fireform cases and see that little shoulder. As soon as I have the stock done it will be time to see how well it feeds 600g/2250fps MV loads. Think positive; it has .012" more shoulder than a 45 acp...which works perfectly. regards, Rich

Rich, You need a on the 45 ACP comment since it head spaces on the case mouth. Of course you have a greater circumference than the 10.75x68mm and ought to offer more resistance at that speed bump shoulder. Yours is a bit different than I had thought and very close to the 500 Mbogo, more so than the .510 Wells. The 500 Mbogo is blown out to .575" at the shoulder, instead of the .510 Kayser's .565". Necking up the basic brass, I find that .535" to .532" works for the neck diameter, so the 500 Mbogo will be a little tighter in the neck too. That is the only way I can improve on your shoulder, but I do not think mine will require any neck turning or reaming, and yours certainly won't. So the 500 Mbogo will have .020" per side and 35 degrees. And we are talking about reamer dimensions here, and all the actual brass max dimensions will be 2 to 4 thou less.
