Boomy,
If you want to play spy and are going back tommorow (its the last day right?) ... idle up to Remington and ask who the Australian importer will be ... likewise Marlin.

Then show that 425WR based on a 300RUM to Remington's bean counters ... they're dumb enough to go for the bait lol
Cheers...

Boomstick,

Any word from either Ruger or Hornady as to future Hawkeye chamberings. Hornady is making special 404 Jeff loadings and was hoping maybe they may bring out the HE in 404.
I'm holding off on the 375 until I here more.

Enjoy the show and Vegas.

I spoke with lots of folks in the industry who follow what is going on here, primarily in the Big, Medium, and Small bore forums. Much of what is posted here is repeated and printouts are passed around firearms and ammunition manufacturers management meetings. One media liason rep told me we are looked at to see what the edge is like...doers not observers in the game.

That's not just anyone that's Steyr!! The only independant original manufacturer who actually invented their own stuff. Maybe there is a secret Austrian/American merger coming??

With Hornady rumors they'll be producing 404 Jeffery ammo, anyone in NA hinting on chambering it?

Howa is chambering the 375 ruger in the Howa Axium as well
I find the Axium interesting cuzz of the removable stock and its recoil reducing design.

Oh yeah. "DO NOT LIFE FIRE!" that Steyr in .375 Ruger.
They want you to "life fire" the .375 Steyr instead?

What do you think about the Talkeetna? I'd like far better with bottom metal!

It is a dandy, and around $2100 suggested retail. I have been friends with one of the wheels at Kimber for about twenty years. They will be forcing me to make a choice as to whether I want to test drive the Caprivi or Talkeetna in 458 Lott next month. They are also nudging me to drive up to the factory and build my own. I am thinking the T-model is going to be a real winner in Alaska, if we can wean you guys off that midget 375R!! holycow

I figured you'd be hatin' the Kimbers, ISS. Afterall, your main justification for loving the CZs so much was the price. Smiler

You can get two Ruger Alaskans for the price of a Talkeetna. Razzer

Cheers,
Canuck
