Got the chance this weekend to shoot a .500 battleship. Built on a CZ action by George Gardner at GA precision rifles. Cases are .416 rigby cut off at the shoulder and a 647 grain Barnes 50BMG rides on top of a healthy powder charge. At 2350 FPS second it was a hoot to shoot, the McMillan stock and a very effective brake helped to reduce recoil substantially. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

Is it cut off at the Rigby shoulder then fireformed with a new shoulder?
I like the idea of a stubby Rigby case shouldered version that could be interesting on 375 HH length action with BMG bullets to short action with 500 Jeffery bullets say 2.25" long case. Maybe single load long bullets in a short action.

Whoops...missed the caption and assumed Frowner blind in one eye and can't see out of the other...can't read either.

The 500 AR looks much different with a mil-spec bullet stuffed in the case.

I KNOW CH4D has dies, I check when I was doing my 510 Makatak.

max load is 153 grains of s341, 2531 velocity, 10,671 of energy with a 750 grain bullett, all in a 585. nothing more potent for this caliber.

jeffeosso, did you want specs on a 585 nayati? you canfind it on here in the reloading pages
