Got diagnosed with Leukemia 4 weeks ago and my insurance, which will remain unnamed, is screwing me more than a little (the bill from the hospital, I was in for 8 days, was for $100,000 to the insurance company).

So, I'm having to sell half my safe to you guys, or the the local gun store if I can't talk you all into them. I need the doe quick, so needless to say I will be selling what I have for a lot less that I should (i.e. pretty cheap).

I'll will take pics and will post some on the appropriate forum tomorrow or Monday if the masters runs long, but, to save time, I'm making this heads up posting so that if someone is interested in a certain gun, I can take more pictures of it.

Also, I have moved to Houston for at least 8 more months for treatment, and all of my guns are in the safe at my house in Austin. I mention this because I'm selling my guns four at a time, with 2 sales totaling 8-10 guns (don't really want to have all these rifles in my little apartment in Houston). Also, I'll list the guns that I'm selling when I sell these to let you all know what I have so that I might save some time on going back and forth to Austin.

Guns for sale (pics by monday)

#### prices negotiable and no trade, sorry

--- Winchester M70 375 H&H, 24 in. barrel, ~93% (used but nearly perfect shape)

$1100.00 includes 3-4 boxes of various types of ammo and the RCBS 2 die st

--- Winchester M70 458 Lott, 24 in. barrel, same condition as the 374 M70, will make deal if bough with M70... the perfect safari combo

$1,000 includes 2 boxes of handloaded ammo from superior ammo and a box or two of factory stuff, I think I have the dies for a 458 Lott but not sure... inlcuded if I find them.

--- Remington Custom shop 416 remy, 20 in. barrel, Vais removable muzzle brake (don't ask why I had it on there, but when removed, you can't see the screws because of the front site... you can use it when no one's looking), never been fired %99 as new.

$900, I bought it for a lot more and it has an attractive stock, in my opinion, includes leupold scope and 3-4 boxes of ammo and rcb two set dies

--- Ruger Frontier 338 federal, grey stock w/ stainless barrel, 16 in. barrel, very light and accurate, been hunted once 90$

$500, includes 3-4 boxes of ammo, leupold stock, and any other accessory I can find for it.

#Tentative list of GUNS I"ll be bringing back to sell in a couple of weeks (let me know via PM if interested)...

---Never shot, new, right out of the store (bought it 2 months ago for $1,700) Pedersoli rollingrock 45/70 with antiquated scope remake (will ask roughly $1250)

--- Remington 350 guide gun in 350 remy mag, only been taken to the range twice so 90$ and asking roughly $550

---Marlin 330 lever-actio 35 remington, use 90%, asking roughly $300

---Vangaurd 300 weatherby with giant leupold boone and crocket scope (i think it's ~5X-20x)

--- 1950's pre-64 model to 270 in great shape (still considering price as I bought it about a week before I got diagnosed as a project gun and I really don't want to sell it) probably ass at least $1,400 as I around 1,700 for it, but may not sell it depending on how I do with these.

...and some others I'll list when they're available.

*** I've also got a 470 Heym 88B on sale via consignment with Chris (new-guy on AR) at Heym USA or Double Gun Imports... I'm offering a really, really good deal for anyone interested in a great used 470 double) Contact Chris at Heymusa.com or new guy on AR.

I've also got a silver pigeon II O/U 22 that is new and unfired. Again, Chris Sells at Heym USA is selling it for me, so get into contact with him if interested.

Thanks all, and thanks to all that are interests. I won't be able to get pics of the guns that new guy is selling for me, but pics of the first four guns will be posted by monday on the classifieds, and pics for the others will come in roughly 2 weeks or possibly earlier if requested.

Best wishes for a speedy and successful recovery.

Might want to do some policy reading and perhaps speak with an attorney regarding your insurance company issues. If nothing else, reading the policy will ensure a good night's sleep since it is beyond boring.

My Mom was diagnosed with fatal lymphoma 25 years ago and given 6 months to live back then. She's 90 now, healthy, sharp and has recovered from chemo and radiation therapy a long time ago. I hope you do as well.

My best wishes, and keep your damn guns!

Man, I really appreciate all of this fellas. I really wasn't looking/asking for it, but it really does mean a lot.

CCMDoc-

"How about I buy the .416 and you keep it for me? Email me at pyodice@sbhcs.com if you think we can work that out."

Sounds like a great deal, but I'm afraid I've already promised it to someone else.

The 3 M70's are sold, so I'm just going to post pics of the other two I've got with me tomorrow on classifieds (kind of hope they don't sell, if you smell what I'm stepping in).

THanks again to everyone. It really is nice to hear nice things from folks you don't know sometimes.

I want you all to know that I am getting back in the game when I get this chemo regiment over within the next 2.5 years, hopefully. I've got a pick line in my arm that drops down above and into my heart (for next 6-8 months). Doc told me shooting a 22 was a bad idea, so I figured shooting my big bores was out of the question. I used the money from the guns I've already sold on a 75 fender stratocaster, and the rest will go to MD Anderson and the insurance fascists.

Forgot to mention that I'm also upset at my alma mater for keeping my law school tuition despite the fact that I was only present and healthy for the first month of the semester... I figured it was a bad idea to bitch though because I'd really like for them to let me back in next spring... Oh well, I'm still rooting for the Horns next fall.

Good shooting!

P.S. Please disregard all type-os etc... I blaim it on the pain meds. Good news is, my lovely wife gets to caddy me around in the car all day for the next 6-8 months. So, if anyone knows any good marriage counselors in Houston...

Glad the guns are selling fast for you.

As to the school situation, I'm very familiar with college administration (because I "is one"). We have given a number of incompletes due to medical situations that were unavoidable. The tuition cannot be refunded past a certain date per the college handbook but perhaps you could get an incomplete and finish the coursework later? You might ask about that. It may, in effect, save you from paying for the courses again.

Thanks Marko. It's good to hear from as always. I assumed, as I mentioned to Bill, that phil told you I was out of commission for a while. Hope all is well, and maybe we can work a TX panhandle hog hunt up when I get over this little "bug" in a couple years... they said chemo for 2 1/2 years after the first 6-8 months of intense chemo, but Ill be hunting by the end of next year. We'll see how it goes, but looks good so far (i.e. quick responder to the chemo).

I "withdrew" from the semester with no problem, but the university, or law school (I don't know which) adopted a policy last year that there is no difference between a medical withdrawal and a regular withdrawal. Meaning, I don't get a refund for the semester's tuition. However, the Dean of admissions for the law school assured me that he would put in a good word, and I might get a partial refund of some sort, or credit for the semester I return. I also get non competitive readmission (I get back in if I reapply and pay on time).

Thanks for the advice.

I am really sorry to hear of your illness. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Once you get on the path to complete remission (and you WILL), if you need a loaner or two for a while just give a holler. They'd be happier in the field than in the safe, anyway.

Hang in there, and don't let the bastards wear your down!

Thanks to all again.

The m70's (375 and 458) are spoken for

The 416 remy is spoken for.

May be leaving something out, but I've got it written down. Please inquire if you're interested anyways.

Forgot to mention that shipping costs are not included, unless I say otherwise, and I have an option to buy back if you decide to sell (only on rifles I specifically state I want the option, which probably won't be many).

***The pictures will be on the classified forum shortly if I can figure this out again (been a while).

So, if you requested pics from me, please look in classifieds within the next couple of hours (by 6:00 P.M. C). This just saves me time, and to be hones, I'm the most technically inept 26-year-old West of the Mississippi (i.e. I don't know that I want to take the time to figure out how to send pics via email to everyone that has asked).
