Jeff maybe its the individual rifle but my rifle has very good bores and the groove measurement is .598" I think that the really old ones were all made to the individual maker's desires. | |||

.798 doesn't sound right, sounds more like a 10ga than a .577 bpe. Was that a mistype of .5798? Also check Dixie gun works, sometimes they have off the wall molds for rifles as such. "Molotov Cocktails don't leave fingerprints" -Dr. Ski | |||
