Some of your reloading information. I've used 5744 and cast bullets. Would you recommend the 300 grain jacketed? Thanks Charlie | |||

Karamojo Bell tried one for a time, but found the 300-gr bullet unsatisfactory for elephant. If only he had the bullets that sharpsguy uses in his BPCR he might not have traded it in for a small bore. ![]() ![]() That cartridge case is bigger than a .45-120-3.25" Sharps, but I wonder what twist rate Winchester used on their .45-125-300 / .45 EX. ? Seems some of the Winchester 1885 rifles were actually chambered for the Sharps cartridge, even if the original Sharps rifles were not. See 485-grain load for the Sharps cartridge: ![]() ![]() | |||
