45-125 0r 45 Express
Im shooting a Highwall in 45-125 (which letters via Cody) which Dad left me in his estate. Is there anyone else here who shoots one?

Some of your reloading information. I've used 5744 and cast bullets. Would you recommend the 300 grain jacketed?

Karamojo Bell tried one for a time, but found the 300-gr bullet unsatisfactory for elephant.
If only he had the bullets that sharpsguy uses in his BPCR he might not have traded it in for a small bore.





That cartridge case is bigger than a .45-120-3.25" Sharps, but I wonder what twist rate Winchester used on their .45-125-300 / .45 EX. ?
Seems some of the Winchester 1885 rifles were actually chambered for the Sharps cartridge,
even if the original Sharps rifles were not.

sorry, I am no help on classic loading for this one - i did my work on modern loads in norma brass, calling it the 45/125 nitro express, as the case capacity is very close to the 450 ne
