I thought some might like to see a few photos from my afternoon with the Canoneers who came together to test, shoot and visit with the public. I was able to fill my lungs with the real smell of gunpowder as only black powder was allowed. Including for the "Tre-Bu-Che" which was voted the most consistent aim for the day. I believe they actually hit the 200 yard target more than once staying on par with the Howitzers and other mountain guns in attendance. Overall a great time. Here are the photos. I will try to post additional information when my head clears a little. Usually after some sleep. Enjoy.            | ||

excellent pics, all the way down to the "tre-bucket!"... I hadn't even seen a trailerpark engineered seige (a TRUE assauly weapon) and scrounged...  I am glad you enjoy them. I sure had a great time and met some great people as well. Here are a few more of the Tre" in action. I believe it was throwing a 4lb concrete cast ball. There are lots of cables and counter-wires to hold it together during the strain of the toss. You can see the fuse smoking prior to the fling. I thought it was actually very humorous that it also has a scope sighted aiming device until I saw how accurate it was. Frank      | |||

Great pictures! Am I the only one who finds the use of spotting scopes with black powder cannon anachronistic? Frank, looks like that was a real fun time event. Wish I was there to shoot with those guys.   That only thing slower than loading those cannons, is down loading these pictures on dial-up.
