I use 20ga Hollywood dies pictured above.
So far only have to shrink the top.
I don't like bolting setup on those. Better off with
heavy barrel NEF 20ga ans deepen chamber or
use a 20 ga Mossberg 385, 485, not the lower numbers,
and add heavy barrel.
Those Mossys are stronger.
And port can be opened for length.Ed

Ed - have you got any data worked up for 900g cast?

Finally getting caught up to the point where I'm back on this project with the Encore barrel.

I have been following this thread with great interest.

I have searched the internet and am having difficulty locating an Encore 20 gauge 3.5" chamber rifled barrel. ... any suggestions?

I'm not sure you will find a 3.5" chambered Encore barrel. You will have to buy a 3" rifled barrel and have it rechambered most likely.

E. Arthur Brown has some

http://www.eabco.com/encore.html

and you can go directly to T/C for one, or contact Ed Hubel. I'm sure he can supply all the information you need.

Luck

I'll rent my chamber reamer here shortly, ordered a greater selection of pilots for it.

Graf's has one standard:

And one Prohunter:

How about I send this reamer to Match Grade Machine here shortly, and you can hook up with them for your rechamber?

Let me know.

That would be great. I see from their website that they are here in Utah. I should be receiving the barrel this week from Brown.

I will give them a call. Many thanks

Struck out on Match Grade Machine as they do not do shotgun barrels. Any other ideas?

I will have 20ga rifled blanks available next year if you can not find something sooner.

I have a 1060 grain LBT mold that I've been working with in my 20 ga. Encore barrel. I'm using new Fiocchi 3" hulls, a Alcan PGS, over 90 grians of IMR 7383. All this in a 7.5 pound rifle. Recoil is just plain nasty.

I do want to take it a pig hunt just to see the effect on game.

Turns out that 'Slugs R Us' will do the rechambering on these Encore barrels for anyone else thinking about this project. Love to have a project!
