2 .458 Lotts one a Stainless M-70 I had built the other is a Brockmans gun built on an MRC action.

1. .470 NE Searcy PH

1. .375H&H M-70 SS that has been extensively modified.

1. .404 Jeffery that is being built as we speak on a vector action.

375 Ruger
416 Taylor
470 Mbogo (ex-Dave's) Smiler
500 A-Square (ex-Dave's) Smiler

Each of us has 45/70 too, but I guess that really only counts in bore dimension. Same like my .54 cal TC Thunderhawk and my .44 Mag S&W.

Surestrike,
I don't even recall selling you a rifle, but then I don't know who you are..I don't do metal work and have all metal work done by Dennis Olson or Jim Brockman. It may have been a trade in or who knows, and why did you not ever say a thing about it until now..It must have been sometime ago, but it does not sound like something I built. How about sending me a picture, Lots of people on this board have bought my guns and they all had whatever time they needed for inspection and the opertunity to return it..Your gun sounds like a trade in but I don't know and I may not even agree with your assesment, and I know the checkering was fine on any rifle I built..

If you had a problem then you should have brought it to my attention and I would have made it right, refunded your money, done whatever was needed to satisfy you,

Surestrike,

it is impolite to hijack other people's threads for flaming purposes. Whether your issues are legitimate or not, makes absolutely ZERO! difference here. This is a place for people to talk about their big bores, not gun deals.
Please consider restoring the dignity of the thread, and your reputation here as a "good guy" by removing it.

Rich you are correct. This rifle has been rubbing me wrong for awhile now and Rays post finally popped the head off this thing for me. It is nobody's business but Ray's and mine.

I'll take it private with Ray and I apologize to the whole board and to Ray for brining this up in public and not the proper way.

Regretfully

Greg

I didn't build the rifle, its a barreled action from another AR member that I bought on the classified (35 Whelen) and his gunsmith did the work and it worked as far as I know and I am sure he was not aware of any problems with the guns safty....,the stock was a modified take off factory FN stock that I had on hand. It wasn't a custom rifle, and the gun was inexpensively priced..I thought then and still do that it was a realy nice "hunting rifle" and better than most factory rifles..

I was never given the opertunity to make the deal right nor was the gun returned to me on the free inspection with no time limit. That was about 6 months ago as I recall. this whole thing caught me off guard.

Based on Surestrikes apology I will do whatever it takes to make the deal right. I do that on any rifle I sell. The rest is up to him.

Ray,

My apology will be on a separate thread for the whole board to see. I will work with you to make this right as you've proven yourself a gentlemen and I a S.O.B.

Please accept my apology and once again sir you have proven yourself a man of his word.
