Thanks for all the kind words. I know he is upstairs with my son who passed away 4 1/2 years ago and my dad. Knowing them all, I am sur they are discussing what trade the Cardinals need to make to be a better baseball team. All were avid fans.

Ken-

It sounds like you were quite blessed to have a brother and friend like Joe.

He fought a good fight.

I pray the Lord comforts and keeps in His care those who grieve his loss.

Joe had prostate cancer. He was diagnosed at 45 but they said at that time that as bad as it was in his body, that it had been in his body for at least 10 years. They don't even tell you to get screened until you are 45 to 50. A real bummer, and the last 2 types of chemo did not even slow it down. At least he is not hurting anymore. He cried out for God to help him and he quit breathing 30 seconds later. His heart stopped 2 1/2 minutes later. Unbelievable.

Slowpoke,
So sorry to hear about your son. We lost my 14 year old son 4 1/2 years ago it a tragic accident at our home and still grieve to this day. Not many things worse than losing a child. We set up a memorial site for him at MemoryOf.com We leave messages for him daily, by lighting a candle for him. Might be a way to ease some of the pain. others are able to leave meassages for your loved one too. You can post pictures too. For a sample just google Kyle Marshal Greenlee in memory of and take a look. Just a thought as it has helped me and Stacy deal with the loss of our son.

I understand your pain and you my sympathy. My father died of lung cancer in 2003 with 58 years of age, so I understand your pain and how hard this disease. Rest in Peace your brother, now no longer have pains, I think it's the only comfort I had with my father's death, he rested from his terrible pain. In my country say that a person does not die as long as someone remembers it. Always remember your brother. Cheer up, life goes on and your brother sure you want wherever you live that happy.

Hugs,

Oscar.
