I voted for - MASTADON. Cause they were huge and prehistoric. The same can be said for the 4 Bore. (Big and from another age).

Are you going to try any BP loads just for kicks?

You are Thor. The rifle is Mjollnir ("Mule-near" is my Icelandic pronunciation), the magical hammer of Thor that cleaves mountains assunder and splits the skulls of giants.

I opt for the PWN375 method of naming a rifle.
Perry said he was naming his new thumper after is Ex-wife.
She was a thing of beauty. She was impossible to control, and she killed everything she touched! Eeker animal

I always liked "Dreadnaught" as in the Dreadnaught class of British battleships. With a 4-bore, you certainly should dread nothing coming your way. But of the choices, I voted for King Kong too.

"Matilda".
Like the one in "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen".
But that one looked like a .450BPE, so it was too small for a good match with yours.
Come to think of it, if you can shoot that 4-bore as good as the .450-or-so caliber he had, then my hat is off to you.
I still like "King Kong" for it, and it would fit right in on Skull Island.

"Sweet Thang"

and Mjollnir is the proper name for the Hammer of Thor.

Now he may have said it hits like the Hammer of Thor.

I'm thinkin' "DAISY" myself. Because you have "Driving Miss Daisy" and the famous quote by Doc (Val Kilmer) Holiday "..you're a daisy if you do..." obviously a reference to the idea of pushing up daisies if you draw on him. Anything you shoot with that rifle should be a daisy-pusher shortly.

Tom,

I have to go with mastadon because you could have a great engraving theme to go with the name. Thor is good, but I wouldn't want to see blondie throwing a hammer engraved on the side of it. However, a wolly mammouth, sabertooth tiger, and t-rex,....pretty cool. Gotta rule out naming it t rex. A square already has one of these. This is a much classier gun.

MASTODON ... minor spelling correction.

How about "Dolly" as in Dolly Parton for large bra size? That thing will be throwing some melons.

A rifle really ought to have a female name, like Matilda mentioned above.
