I met with Jason at the SCI show in Reno and we were talking about the idea of putting together a hunt using the big bores that have been posted on AR. We are looking at a small group hunt no dates have been set yet. I have a list of animals I will post later. If your interested pm me and I will start putting something together.

Keep me in the loop if you wish. That is if a vintage .600 double and also a vintage 4-bore double fits your guidelines.
Are you thinking US or overseas?
Cheers,
Cal

As you may know Jason is from Comre Safaris and uses a 550 Magnum to guide his customers. Jason and myself were just taking over the table at the SCI and mentioned that it would be a great hunt to get some of the bigbores together and I think it would be a great hunt. I will get my pack from the SCI and post some more info. Jason will be our PH if he will put up with us.

I think out of respect for Dave and his 470 Mbogo who I point the finger at for starting the wave of wildcats on AR that would be a good place to start. However when I hunt with Jeffe it's a 458 AR, maybe it should be just big and leave it at that. I will keep working on putting together something more defined.

That should prove quite devestating.
Are you using tips on them? Even single loads?
Wish I could go with. Will be a hunt of a lifetime.

I guess I'll keep my 600 OK around for this hunt, although my 505 Gibbs should be done by then :-)

Cross

You can only double the bullet diameter if both bullets are fired at the same time. Big Grin

Rob
That will be awesome

Any caliber or bullet weight. However if Rob and myself are both there we sometimes put extra holes in the animals. (Double tap)
