Just thought I'd post this from Sunday

Ready for the shot . . .

Just a touch of recoil

She went back for seconds . . .

She's about 5'6", weight around 135 or so.

Hog Killer stated the recoil at about 70 pounds, or about half her weight (500 grain bullet around 2450 fps).

Troy, velosity is ~2260fps with the 500s.

Your bride is a great sport, and she shot the Lott TWO times with full house loads

What a gal! thumb

Troy, I was picking up her brass as she ran the target course with the 9.3X62. I have to tell you, I was very impressed with her shooting. I do believe she outshot you and most of the other guys on Sunday. She's a great sport!

Troy,

I might have video of her shooting. I think my camera was still running while she went through the course. We'll see if I can get it down to a DVD

We were all impressed with the way she shot!
She and Al's wife weren't hard to look at, either!

I was pleased to see her run the course with an actual hunting rifle, and perform well. And, as the boys said, another fine looking Texas woman.
It was so grand to get to meet you all. Next year the 577 comes with me!

Troy-

I gotta tip my hat at your bride. Any lady that will shoot a .458 Lott more than once is a "keeper."

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

greenjoy, The rear sight is a Lyman 48, with the appature removed, for a ghostring setup. It is very fast to use and you see more of what you are aimming at than with a rear express sight. Front is an NECG Masterpiece.

Like that set up so well, my 375 will be a match to the Lott.
