A-Square Ammunition: customer service
This may be a bit long winded, but I want to be sure I present all the facts accurately and completely.

- I bought a new CZ 550 in .416 Rigby and ordered a 10 round wallet of A-Square ammo.
- On or about 15 Sept, I called A-Square and spoke with Mr X. I explained to him that after successfully firing two rounds, the third one did not fire as the primer did not detonate (it was dented, to my eyes, smilarly to the others that did detonate). The next one or two subsequent rounds fired fine. He asked that I send him the entire 10 round wallet. He would determine the cause of the failure to fire and send me back a new 10 round wallet of ammunition.
- On 18 Sept, I sent the 10 round wallet back to A-Square as requested.
- Approx 7-10 days later Mr X called and said the primer was intact and the firing pin was likely underpowered. In a very friendly conversation he suggested I have the firing pin spring replaced. He was also kind enough to give me some other sound recommendations to make the rifle a better hunting tool. I've since used the CZ, after they replaced the firing pin spring, to fire 20 or so handloads and they've all fired properly.
- On 23 Oct, I called A-Square and left a message reminding them to send the promised ammo and left my phone number.
- On 31 Oct, I called A-Square, left my phone number, reminded them again of the promised ammo, and asked for a return phone call.
- On 1 Nov, I called and spoke with Mr X and he said while he was gone "it didn't get done" but that "it's being done now."
- On 14 Nov, I called and spoke with Mr X and said I would like the ammo in time for a Thanksgiving Day shoot. He said "you'll have it."
- It is now the evening before Thanksgiving and, unless Mr X is driving the ammo here personally, it won't make it here by tomorrow morning.

There are simply too many companies out there who understand customer service for me to use one who does not.

For the price of A-sq ammo, they should drive it to your home. Eeker Another good reason to start feeding that .416 some handloads. beer

Hornady's 416 Rigby ammunition is now on dealer shelves at under $75 retail. Next question?

Around mid-October the clue bird landed on my shoulder. I've already reloaded 40 rounds (bought all but the primers, powder, and press froman AR member) but, hell, I could still use that extra 10 pieces of .416 Rigby brass Roll Eyes

You just have to handload DGR cartridges. Don't ever depend on anyone else. Its like packing your own parachute. Me I handload and pack my own chutes. I'll repat the mantra. A2 and Art Alpin SUCK. What a jerk and what a jerks company! Buy their crap at your own peril.
I reject everything Art has ever said except when he said his Depends were suddenly full!-Rob

Not sure about the current A-Square ammo.

But, when Art Alpin was in charge, he "donated" some ammo to the PH orgenization of an African country.

Lots of that ammo turned out to be dud!

As Jeffe said, It's really nice to know that A2 is still A1 in the customer service department.

Gee, I wonder if they are still taking orders and people's money and not delivering products?

Lawndart,

I'm seeing Dr Belau. The surgical techniques there are much improved. Before, they would have used a chainsaw. Now, they have upgraded to a mini-sawsall! Got my 9.3x62...wow!

Hey Rich,
I knew it was you. Hopefully I will have your $$ for you next week or the week after. More of that good chinese would really hit the spot.

Does A2 have a web site? (anyone). If they do, none of the search engines I tried could come up with it.
