Howdy All...
I am thinking about putting together a BigBore shoot and gathering for our AR and other like minded folks. Heck of a chance to meet and greet

This is tenative, but I am thinking of Feb 10th, in the morning, with a fallback of March 9th, allowing for weather and/or late season hunts.

There is a condition, though... you either have to bring at least a 9,3x62 (no, a 57 doesn't count but a 74 does) or at least shoot a big bore!! (no, the 45/70/444/405 doesn't count, no matter WHAT you load it to horse)

Doubles, Single Shots, Turnbolts, frontstuffers, pistols.. bring em.

Place? TBD, I just haven't gotten that far (why:? because if we dont' start we'll never finish)

Time: Likely 10:00 till 14:00

What do: Shoot, Lunch, fellowship, share and shoot ..

Bring plenty of ammo, as I am certain everyone will want to give yours a try...

I'll keep ya'll up to date on this, and we'll probably have some BBQ, Tea, chips and soda's for lunch. And a tun of coffee!!

JTEX,

A .375H&H qualifies (a .375 Winchester would not, right, Jeffe?).

Am s newbie, but would like to participate. Wish I could help with an idea for a range. I joined Bayou Rifles some time back just to get access to a range where I can practice, versus public ranges that limit you to the bench. Don't know if enough others are members to have shoot there...just a thought.

Still "newlyweds" we didn't even hunt very far apart during deer season. And she knows I lived in Houston for five years so I might visit some of my old haunts of the gun shop variety if left to my own means...

Dagnabbit, Jeffe, if you'd move the shoot to the Ashland Gun Club range here in Southern Oregon, I'd be there with a .375 H&H, a .577 3-inch BPE Martini and a .72 percussion double, but it might be 39 degrees and raining hard ...
