I emailed Remington recently and they "didn't know exactly" but hoped it would be late 2005 or very early 2006.

In late fall of 2004 they told me beginning of 2005.
In Feb 2005 they told me summer of 2005.

I just would like to know why is it that a company that damn big as remington can't make one freaking rifle without it taking them a decade or so to do so.

I bet you if it was a contract with somebody like the military for instance they would make the damn rifles.

Remington is not building these; they are being built in Russia.

I called Remington last week and was told that one shipment had already been shipped to distribitors and that two more were to arrive in the "4th quarter" of this year. I don't think she knew what she was talking about and since all the posts I have seen are still people asking when are these rifles going to make it to market. If there were even a few had been sold, I think that there would be some chatter about what the new owners though of them.

I spoke to my local gun dealer a few weeks ago and he told me that and this was his opinnion , that we would never see those rifles in any numbers. He said his large suppliers had no timeframe for them. I hope that is not true because they sure seem like they would be a fun gun.
