well, first, no pictures are this time.... I received my sporting cartridge designation from the BATFE and figured I would drop an update. the case is a blown out 577/500 case, then trimmed to 3 inches, for a 3.80 oal. case capacity is VERY close to ~185 grains -10 case average- about the same as the 577 NE, actually... goal is a 700gr at 2050 or there abouts. sd .331, resulting ME would be 6500ft-lb, spliting the difference in weight OR recoil of a 577 NE. and, well, if you are making a homemade double, why don't make it in your own case while the project is nowhere near ready for prime time, perhaps in the late winter or spring i'll get some time to work on it. since twist has been a topic of discussion lately, it is to be a 1x18 --- as that is the twist i speced for the 550 express, and that's the only twist bauska had a button for. jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round?
