I do believe(somebody correct me if I'm wrong) the screw is to hold the hood on during recoil. I wish I would have had Wayne do that to my Lott........even though he said its "damn near a smallbore", would be nice to have to keep branches from knocking it off.

BTW Beautiful rifle SAFARIKID

Lovely firearm, sir. Can't say exactly why but appearance-wise it puts me in mind of a classic pre-war Jno. Rigby in some BIG caliber...505 Gibbs, maybe.

I own nothing remotely sinilar. This is in no way a knock, but if he were alive Jeff Cooper would ask, "What is it for?"

Cooper has gone to his reward, so I will ask.

A very nice looking rifle. You talk about overkill. I would think it is way overkill. I own the 458 lott and it can kill anything your rifle can kill. But it still is a good rifle.

Hi guys Smiler

900 grainer 2500 FPS Cool

The 600 OK is the gun of the top!

I have used my .460 wby with the 500 grain swift a-frame bullet this year on the moose hunt. They are TO HRAD!! just leaving a caliber or just a little bigger hole... next year I try the 500 grain woodleigh rnsp 2700FPS!

Fuck I want to have a 600 OK some day but I think it would be hard to get here in sweden because the law is so hard. The biggest they have on their hunting list is 600 NE...
Regards to RGB....

How hard would it be to bring in a chamber reamer? You could use a big CZ action and a local gunsmith to put it together couldn't you?

I say I do, but the cost might scare me!
Congrats on the new rifle.

Gorgeous rifle and love that you can get three down in 600 OK too! Beauty and function, but at 9 plus pounds as close as I'm going to get to firing that rifle is watching you shoot it!

Congrats again on an awesome rifle,

I just thought I would mention that my wife is naming you all as co-conspirators in the divorce papers. The UPS fairy just brought me a really heavy, long skinny box from Fritz454. Contents: 1.5"x30" .600 barrel and muzzle brake he makes/made. Now, to get that PH action here.

thanks, I think...

The 800 Godzilla is designed to work on bolt action 12 gauges (12 gauge rim) and use Pac-Nors .825" rifled barrels.

Pretty much a belted rimless 8 gauge.

Way to tame, and a serious deviation from AR tradition - where is the rebated rim? You could do a 900 Godzilla with a rebate in the same 12ga.

Well to work there needs to be a 10 thou total rebate but to work in say a savage 12 gauge bolt action it needs to be close to the 12 gauge rim diameter.

This would be the largest sporting round but a 12GFH is much better all the way around.

I was being a wise a$$. I did not know how serious you were or not. Yes, seems to me also the 12GFH makes more sense in Savage bolt.

I thought the 585HE made more sense than 600 OK in a CZ550. When I spoke up, I got flamed. I mean like French fried. Not to hijack a thread, its a beauty gun and I hope the new owner enjoys it.

I wish someowne would do it all for me,as I would then want it...I rather "cut to the chase" and pick the thing up,pay for it and go shooting/blasting/destroying! Big Grin Any offers to do such?
