yes, in 2 ways.
1 - limbsaver absorbs more recoil on heavier kickers OF THE SAME WEIGHT

2 - limbsaver weighs about 40 percent more

Got a Decelerator on my Lott. Works just fine. I think they finish out nicer, of the two.

Limbsavers seem to be a bit crumbly around the edges after a bit. I like a thicker decelerator and they hold up a lot better.

BTW, I went down and checked out the W and it handled very nicely. I guess I'll just have to dirty it up a bit after my waiting period.

highly recomended to me by a local gun store owner to me and they grind to fit great.

Kick-Eez is definitely crumbly compared to either a Pachmayr Decelerator or a Limb Saver.

I like Limb Saver or Decelerator about equally.

Limb Saver's styling makes them look more appropriate on synthetic stocks.

Decelerators look better on walnut and of course good on synthetic too.

The Limb saver might be better on recoil reduction than a Decelerator, but neither is as good as the Pachmayr F990 or Triple Magnum, which is one ugly pad.

What is really soft is to put a slip-on Limb saver over a Pachmayr Triple Magnum, or Decelerator, when that factory stock needs a little extra LOP to fit you.

Then if wearing winter clothing, remove that slip on and have a pretty good fit. That is how I get along with factory stocks so well.

The limbsaver is a little softer but also a little stickey. It doesn't slide up the shoulder as nice as a Decelerator. Kickezz is sticky and prone to spliting. The HiViz Xcoil looks promising and they have a really big model I am building a pattern for the 606 mammoth using one of these. It is by far the largest pad I've seen, and that should help spread the recoil out over a larger part of the body.

+1 to RIP and BiggestGun. The Decelerators are nice pads but IME the Limbsaver takes the "edge" off the recoil better then the Decelerator. My 458 Lott and 416 Rigby wear a Limbsaver and I really like them. The Kick-eez shows wear (crumbling) too much for my taste. I haven't tried the Pachmayr 990 but others much more knowledgable than I swear by it.

As has been said, the Limbsaver is sticky, but an application of the Kick Eez Slick Eez does wonders for it!

I tried the kick-eez after a gunsmith reccommened it it does absorb recoil well but after two years it started to fall apart.

Decelerator....I was told by 2 or 3 different 'smiths that the Limbsaver tends to look a bit dodgy after a year or two....plus the red one on my double looks "classic".

On my doubles I have Silvers, Decellarator, and Kick-eez, and most of my bolt rifle have Pachmayr Decelerators, which will be my pick hense forth, for everything. I have zero experience with Limb-saver!

Kick-Eez NO! I had my .416 Newton fitted with a kick eez pad, and a chunk crumbled off just from the rifle sitting on it in my gun cabinet!
I've had no problems with decelerators.
Best Regards,
Tom

Kick Eez will replace your pads as long as you care to keep sending them in. The fitting will become tiresome however. It's best to not store them on the butt- as you have found out.

Yeah, but my gun cabinets are built to store guns on their butt...but moreover, why did I only have a problem with my limbsaver pad, and all others have always been fine (over 45 years of storing guns this way?)
