What a beautiful example of the art of gunsmithing:

I saw that. The "artist" isn't known because the "artist" doesn't want to be known. There is some middle aged gunsmith out there that is cringing right now hoping that the fact that he did this when he was stoned on mushrooms as a 19 year old apprentice may come out.

Show up with that bad boy in camp in Africa and I wonder what the PH would do!

Guys, y'all are looking at this thing all wrong. Move the decimal point to the left two places, then it will be prices about right.

Salvage the ivory, remove the barrel for a new jack handle, melt down the silver, and burn the stock(stay up wind). Use those fine weaver scope mounts for fishing weights. That will leave you an action to build a truck gun on.

There is no mention of the accessories included with the rifle, but I have to wonder if a purple velor suit and a leopard print wide brim hat aren't part of the package. I never knew a pimp to carry a 375, but then again they say it's an "urban jungle"

Macifej,
No, not mine, but I understand why you might think so:
470 Mbogo, 500-grainer at 2685 fps with 115 grains of RL-15 (and a three-shot one-hole group at 50 yards): 116 grains of RL-15 would give over 2700 fps unless we got into diminishing returns with that next grain, but I doubt that.

The Mohel really should have been consulted. Definitely not Kosher.

Those aluminum Weaver bases with the rounded crosslot would not even make good fishing sinkers.

That thing needs a circumcision.
I don't think the Jewish circumcision specialist (Mohel) would touch it though. It looks unclean. Wink

It's got to be more than 8 days old too! No need to waste the precision of the Mohel! Forward it to your friendly atheist/pagan Prussian. I'll make some subtle rearrangements to it's mechanical anatomy that even a proper Hun would fear.......

Macifej,
I have one more "epoxy inlay" job I did myself, that is all. Memorize these two rifles and you will never be confused about my ownership. I promise no more "inlay" jobs for or by me. I could never again equal let alone surpass these masterpieces. Wink

Gun number two, the African Sheep Rifle Extraordinaire: 404 Jeffery, 380-grain North Forks at 2525 fps, 3/4 MOA, with 83 grains of Varget Extreme, and resting on the rug of the beast it killed with one shot:

If you look really close at the map of Africa on the buttstock, you can see, in bas-relief, Mount Kilimanjaro. I'm really proud of my precision equatorial contouring there.

rotflmo

It is a Brown Precision stock for a .308WCF M70 that I found at a Montana gunshow. I "re-inletted" it with crossbolts and pillars to fit the M70 Classic Stainless 300RUM action. I was getting ready to sand and paint and decided I liked the blue and gray camo. So I went wild by adding the map of Africa to the butt for no good reason.

Hey, at least I worked some reloading data into this thread. wave

Crystal just looked at the pics and said in a most delicate and feminine manner that the forend on that rifle looks like a gaudy tribute to a porn star and should never be viewed in her house again. I pretty sure she didn't like it.
