The ruger is the FAR better solution, a far as cost and feeding, and more importantly RECOIL...

since i dislike stainless, i'll tell you the cheapest way to get there

buy a blue ruger in 7/300/338 markII
buy an AB barrel in 458 (yes, 458)
send it down here and we'll
thread
chamber
install recoil lug
inlet stock
bed and crossbolts
(sights?.. scope would be cheaper)
feeding
test fired
blued


Or, if you really want the stainless 470 .. order the pacnor barrel pre-threaded for a ruger in stainless

a 24" barrel should be about 720 for the 458 and ~.735 for the 470

I think the thing to do is, send Jeffe a Pac-Nor CM barrel, then let jeffe send you back an AB barrel and them Jeffe can give me the barrel Pac-Nor barrel and we will all be happy
