Hi Macifej

Just curious if you have a picture of the .475 bullet you designed or if you could post it when you have it made. If you need any of your spitzer bullets in .475 tested just let me know. Big Grin
Take good care,
Dave

Dave,

Macifej just completed the design late yesterday evening....I'll shoot it over to ya. Its going to be 475grains, about 1.4" long, banded for use in bolt guns and/or doubles. Should be pretty deadly.

Know anybody else that might be interested in some? We have 5 guys so far, which is just enough for a minimum run...could use another 5 to get a run of 1000 done.

Cheers,
Canuck

Dave - the only spitzers I'm doing at this point are the looooooong pointy non expanding reach out and touch types. They would be too long for your magazine. I could certainly come up with something shorter just for you!! Big Grin

Approved by the DR crew for use in modern DR's. Extremely small bearing surface and slightly bore riding.

My goal: 2750 to 2800 fps in the 470 Mbogo.
That will leave a mark. hillbilly (bolt action trashy grin)

I might have to slow it down to 2100 to 2200 fps to to make it shoot parallel to infinity in the 470NE Merkel. I am sure it can be done, and the Merkel can handle the gentle, graceful, and precise contours of this brassy blond bullet. hillbilly hillbilly (double rifle trashy grins)

Ask Butch what he thinks!!

I wouldn't want to be responsible for any "alterations" to Mr. Searcy's work! Big Grin
