Peter at www.qual-cart.com is going to make a first run of 300 pieces of brass with "500 Mbogo" headstamp. How nice!!!! Then: ".395 Tatanka" Then: "400/395 NE" Gotta pace myself. Talk to Peter about your wildcat brass, amazing service they provide. BTW the .416 Rigby basic Cylindrical brass is 2.975" long, made by Hornady, and will not be sold with blank headstamp. Ask peter for 500 Mbogo or 395 Tatanka please.

Boomie, Your tip got me talking to Pete. I never dreamed that properly headstamped brass would be so painless. Thanks.

Is Pete a "Head-Stamp" Artiste or does he make cartridges from scratch?? Really BIG cartridges?

Quality Cartridge does not make the basic brass, they form it and headstamp it. They sell loaded ammo too. The blank, basic brass might be made by: Hornady Remington Norma etc. ...

RIP, I have a very nice sporterized P17 that I am about to send off to PACNOR for a re-barrel to 500A2. Would the 50-08 be a better bet? Easier to get the rifle to feed? Regards; Brett

Yes, I know....I am not rip and am no gunsmith and correct me if I am wrong but feeding is a smithing issue but having no belt and no rebate makes this cart more inherently easier to get to feed. Meaning safer and a cheaper smithing bill. 577 BME 3"500 KILL ALL 358 GREMLIN 404-375 *we band of 45-70ers* (Founder) Single Shot Shooters Society S.S.S.S. (Founder)

Yeah, Pete is awesome to work with. He helped me out with a 280 AI that apparently has a slightly odd chamber. He made a custom run of brass to fit my gun, and helped me set up the dies correctly.
