The word 'Markhor' means 'the snake eater'.
The legendary Kashmir Markhor is the National animal of Pakistan and is considered as the most expensive trophy animal in the world. Alexander Sr. and Jr. along with Greg Brownlee of Jeff Neal Inc. joined me on this adventure of a lifetime.
we took a 45 minute flight to Chitral from Islamabad and hunted in Tushi/Shasha Conservancy. The Markhor population here is phenomenal and a proof that it is Only because of hunting that these beautiful animals have not just survived but thrived.

We were able to hunt a monster trophy on day 3 of the hunt. its the biggest Markhor hunted in this conservancy in the last few years.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

What an absolute topnotch hunt and trophy. I have been to Chitral and seen these magnificent animals in their natural habitat, there is very good reason why this is one of the most expensive hunt available. You Pir Saeen, is doing a very fine job indeed in meticulously paying attention on every detail to make these adventures possible for hunters, welldone.

Unbelievable hunt Abu Markhor/Danish
Congratulation on the record trophy and on the incredible conservation effort by Pakistani Game dept and all the local guys out there in the fields
Too bad India can't follow in your footsteps. Kinda shameful if you ask me.
Their wildlife would improve so much with all the hunters money generated in
