I posted a report here last year on my Marco Polo hunt from October of 2007. I finally got the mount back last week and thought you all might like to see it. I am very pleased.

Amazing sheep those. Stunning ram and taxidermy.
Wish I had gone and done that hunt when my body was young enough.

Looks like you picked a great taxidermist - excellent mount! The relatively straight profile really shows off the spread of those horns!

What about the ibex?

Amazing specimen, nice mount. Would like to see a side view, also. Looking forward to seeing the ibex mount, as I recall what a nice trophy that was in your report.

Thanks for the comments. My taxidermist on this mount was Bill Gouba from Bill's Wildlife Studio. He is working on my Ibex as well.

Outstanding mount Doug! beer I am glad we sent you when we did...things are pretty ugly in Tajik at present. NONE of the 2008 trophies have been shipped yet and it looks like the guys that were booked for this year will be going to Kyrgyzstan instead. It's a mess over there and we likely won't see any hunting in Tajik until 2011...tough to say...they could flip things and get it open for this year yet, but I won't send a soul there until our trophies are in the hands of my hunters. The ever changing world of Asian hunting! Let me know if you need anything.

Thanks Clark. I sure hope they get things figured out over there. It's a shame that no one will be hunting the great animal in Tajikistan this year.

I am still blown away by your hunt report even after the fifth or sixth reading! Any chance you would post a side-view picture of the mount?

I just noticed that the right side horn is repaired, did you recover the piece that was broken bringing him down the mountain?

Hmmm? We'd LOVE to see a side view! Yes, it's because I'm jealous...

Don't put baby in a corner. That ram deserves a 30x30 room of his own and a velvet rope barrier between him and curious hands. Just fabulous.
