Well, decided on a fairly last minute trip to Tajikistan to find a Marco Polo and Ibex with a client and hopefully an Ibex for myself if time allows. It's about a 21 day trip, so I'll try and get you guys a report asap.

Pretty excited about this one even though I'm not shooting the sheep!

Here's me posing with the clients ram after it was caped out. He understandably preferred not to be put on the internet so I took one with the cape back at camp. 61.5" on the longer horn:

Sounds awesome! I would be excited also. Are you there as the guide or going along with a friend?

Done early, client shot a GIANT marco polo on the second day (61.5"!!!). I had a mishap with his gun on the last day and missed my shot at a nice 45"ish ibex at 530 yards. Frustrating on that end, but couldn't be happier for the client!

He probably won't want me posting his photo online, but I've taken some with the head and cape with just me that I'll put up when I'm home. Truly a magnificent sheep!

It was great to meet! Sorry it was so brief, I wanted to leave you a note to tell me how your hunt went but being that it was 3:30 in the morning I was a little groggy. We actually were in Bishkek for 2 more days because snow in the mountains in Tajikistan had closed the roads.

Send me an email with your ibex photo, I want to see how the hunt went!

Greg

Added a photo of the sheep, the client preferred not to be posted on the internet but I took a couple back at camp with the cape and horns.

Greg, while the sheep looks awesome, the quality of the photo is fantastic. Beautiful mountains in the background and the weather cooperated too!

It would appear I don't! I've gone on quite a few hunts in the past 18 months, I think it's time I slow down! One more this year then nothing planned after that.

Can't wait to see the moose mount, I'm going up there again this year for caribou in late September.

It was heavy, but also had the full body cape attached so that added some weight. I'd say the whole thing weighed 75 lbs or so, maybe a bit more.
