May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Awesome man! Can't wait to see photos!

Forgot to say that I talked to Sean Wilkerson and he said he ran into you up in Fairbanks (or Anchorage) when he was up buying the bear back from the fur auction. I'll tell him you did well, he asked about it the other day.

Ya,
Put a sign on the front door and just close your practice for a couple days.
Then you won't have any interruptions while your doing the AR hunt report.

Welcome back Brett. Just checked in after being preoccupied with the lake house construction for the last few months. I expect a full report, pics and a little scotch. When you get the time, give me a call and we can get together. Congrats on your success. Hope the trip was everything you hoped for.

Maybe this will shame him into getting busy. Hopefully he can best this

The rifle is the new Luxus break open single shot in 30-06. I was getting 1 1/2" three shot groups at 200 yards with Black Hills 168 gr A-Max ammo.

My trip ran concurrent with Brett's. I saw him at the Anchorage airport the day we both arrived home and am looking forward to sitting down with him and discussing our trips as we hunted from different camps.
Needless to say my trip worked out great. We hunted from horseback between 10 and 12 thousand feet. We were only after Ibex but across the valley, in the more rolling terrain, we saw quite a few Marco Polo sheep.

Awesome photos Phil and a beautiful Ibex!!!!

Brett,
What brand of beer did you have at Anchorage?
When you flew into SLC, did you have a clear view of the Great Salt lake or see any other neat sights during your layover?
Thats too bad about Holland and Holland being closed when you were in New York (JFK). Did you just show up and they were closed or did you call first?
