What up? A search yields nothing recent? I'm going in October and would love to hear, read and see what I'm getting in to. Anyone here been? Ibex is the target.

Thanks,

To the group, is feral yak closed for hunting in Mongolia?

I hunted there in 99, now 20 years ago. Shot a 45.5 inch ibex. One of the best hunts of my life.

I'm torn.... Should I wish it will be the same 20 years later or different? Smiler

Feral yak has not been mentioned.

Pretty organized there with most outfits now, always little issues but hunts are typically very successful and everyone we send over there is happy when they come home. I went in 2015 and did all three argali with a client and enjoyed every minute of it. I plan on going back next season. I particularly liked driving through the center of the country, no roads just driving across miles and miles of grass lands.

You're going to love the hunt and country.

I hunted Ibex and sheep there in 1986.
It was a grand adventure!!!

I had a friend hunt a couple sheep last year and said it was well organized and a wonderful experience.

You should have a blast!!!

Good luck,
Zeke

A friend of mine was just there for the second year in a row. They took a rather large high Altai argali. He loved it.

I have two friends there now.
Hunting Hangai , Gobi and Altai Argali.
Up to this morning both got great Hangai and Gobi and are now off for the Altai.
Feedback is well organised and no dramas.
