Jesus was Semitic. So he would fit phenotypically within what one sees in Jewish and Middle Eastern groups. Quite a wide variation, and classically considered caucasoid/white by the government (for what it’s worth).

Shorter, relatively straight dark hair, brown eyes, lighter skin tones that can darken substantially with sun exposure (so probably would be very dark brown on sight).

That’s if it’s a genetically likely local situation.

Yes, the renaissance artwork where he looks like a Northern European is all artistic license… but I saw pictures of him depicted as black in Ethiopia.

I think the idea that “he looked just like one of us” is a perfectly reasonable viewpoint for any culture, because he did. Son of god made into man- he could look however he felt necessary.

All the arguments “he was black” or “he was white” are really is an attempt to utilize religion for a political purpose. Practically, he was every man.

So, he was a Cameleon, or shape-shift·er?

So, which image do you ID with?

As a child I attended a small primitive Baptist church. It's still there, about a mile down the road from here. Some of the congregation brought one of those velvet carpet things and nailed to the wall in the church. It was an image of (white) Jesus on a purple velvet rug. I'll never forget it. The rest of the congregation didn't have the gall to object. The same store also sold velvet Elvis rugs.

So long the secular laws doesn`t coalite with Gods laws you are also to obey those too.( read Romans 13)

This socalled "Christian nationalism" is somewhat invented. Some "christians" believe they can establish the kingdom of God here on earth. The bible clearly states it won`t happened. If somebody tries to its not of Christ.

I have always wondered about something. Maybe its just Hollywood( I watch Hollywood movies).
In america courtrooms when someone are to take the witnessstand they swear on the bible. It this really true?. If so it isn`t of Christ.

The Bible is not used in KY to swear witnesses nor to take Oaths of Office. You are not asked, “ So help you God.”

If you ask for a Bible to take an oath of office, you can. This is not required.

There is a parable:

Johnny Lingo 8 Cow Wife

This is a pared-down-for-purposes-of-hilarity cut of "Johnny Lingo", a Brigham Young University production that uses a faux polynesian community to demonstrate the hidden value of women... in units of cows. Appalling and jaw-dropping, sure, but also absurd!
So sit back and let the LDS church teach you about gender values... but in a more efficient format than the original film.

Big Grin

It's the thought that counts.

Grammer? Try to fit a thought within the constraints of a title in this forum.

It's either click bait or get creative. Often complete sentences don't fit, so I drop some words.

Actually, the new title is a complete sentence.

Give me your suggestion as to the wording.

================================================

Okay, taking your suggestion about grammar, I changed the title again.

Is that okay with you now?

================================================

Some alternatives:

As a patriot, do you think reason exists to be afraid of Christian Nationalism?

As a patriot, are you concerned about Christian Nationalism?

Are you concerned about Christian Nationalism?

Is Christian Nationalism a problem?

and so forth.

What do you say?

It is the thought I want to express.

It is properly "loaded".

I find it humbling sometimes how I try to use words correctly and concisely, yet others are obviously better gifted.

The same goes for practically anything, even professionally and trained and experienced.

I have been humbled many times.

So, notice that I changed the title, using quotation marks to give credit to you.

It is still publicly celebrated. One recent event was on 1/6/21.

Then we had a series of small celebrations each time the 500+ self-deemed patriots were convicted.

We're overdue for the BIG one.

I didn't change the topic. It's still the same as initially intended. It's not the evidence you claim.

I used the word "patriots" as a loaded thought. It's like the word sincere. One can be a sincere pseudo-patriot, and end up being rightly convicted of insurrection, seditious conspiracy, etc.

I changed the title mostly because it initially involved me personally, and some focused on that. I wanted to focus on reasons to fear Christian Nationalism in the big picture, by real patriots.

So, my initial title mislead. Some are too anxious to make it personal, because they are nasty.

I take exception to the claim that Christian Nationalism is fringe. DJT couldn't have been elected if not for C N. I could look it up but as I recall something like 80 percent of Christians at one time supported Trump. That's not fringe. If it is then Christianity is fringe.

Christ groomed and exploited the savior proclivities in human nature. "I alone can save you, or fix this". Sound familiar? DJT portrays the savior syndrome very well. "I alone can fix this"; end the war in Ukraine, the economy, restore the power of church, quell the evil democrats. That's why he appeals.

Umm you did change it.

Initially it was your personal belief.

Now playing it’s all patriotic folks (notably you can be a patriot of another nation, Saeed is an Emirati patriot.

If your implication is only regarding the US, then my answer still stands.

The way you changed things also implies you are the standard of patriotism. While you served in time of war (and thank you for that) and I don’t doubt your patriotism, it’s rather galling to have you assume anyone who doesn’t agree with you is not patriotic, at least by your implication.

As I dont know a single christian nationalist, I assumed Kabob was true to his topic that he was afraid. He uses the term fear, and scared in so many of his posts, it's a natural assumption.
I think there are a few sects, christian, mormon, muslim and so on, that would like the country to fall under their beliefs. None have a chance in hell (pun intended)of getting a majority to go along. Not only am I not afraid of it, I dont have the slightest concern.
