As in our personal lives, it is a weird fact of death that it brings those left in its wake together. I join in wishing the former First Lady farewell and God speed.

I am sure President Carter’s faith will deliver him through this loss; even unto eternity.

The "idea" of Mrs. Carter is interesting. She stands for something good, decent, perhaps idealistic, a lot.

My "idea" of her is nostalgic. She and Jimmy are like the people I knew, or thought I knew, when I was young, up until about my teen years.

I doubt that youthful "idea" can be broken, although it will never again be realized.
