Two bodies have been found stuck in the lines of orange buoys installed by Texas authorities in the Rio Grande along the U.S.-Mexico border, Mexican officials said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety notified the Mexican Consulate in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Wednesday afternoon that a person was found dead in the southern part of the floating barriers. Members of the Mexican National Institute of Migration's assistance unit, Grupos Beta, are spearheading efforts to recover the body, according to the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"So far, the cause of death and nationality of the person is unknown," the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The crime is a misdemeanor that you are not upset to see death for.

Again, Tx does not have the authority to enforce border policy.

You know as well as anyone else here the entire story of human evolution and civilization centers around one group taking from another group to establish a toehold on land. There is nothing to apologize for because there would be no end to the apologies.

Take it up w Congress.

Oh, when Mexico tried to break the Anglo settlers in Texas, Mexican said the same thing you say today.

Just like a State cannot nullify a Federal Law. A state cannot take for itself due authority regulated to the Federal Government.

it is rather impudent to try to teach Texas history to a member of a Texas Land Grant Family

particularly without knowing whether that family was Spanish or not.

nor knowing how many signators to the Texas Declaration of Independence were Spanish

I think you misspoke there. To enter or be in this country as a foreign national without US permission is not even a misdemeanor. It's an administrative violation.

The penalty is deportation. They don't impose prison sentences no matter how many times you enter illegally.

Did not even see that.

USA.

Zia is a Latin word. That I did not try to type.

To enter the USA wo invitation is a misdemeanor. The punishment is a fine and or incarceration for up to 6 months.

To overstay an invitation, like an education visa, is a civil violation where deportation is a civil remedy.

Those here saying death is appropriate, ant least so be it attitude, are whacky, and not grounded in law thst our representatives have enacted.

The Anglo presence in Texas had grown to 30k by 1836 and 20k by 1835.

I do not know what you are trying to argue about.

Just like you cannot argue the crime you all are so cavalier about dealing death is a misdemeanor.

Nor can you refute what you say about migrants today and Mexico is what the Central Government said about the Anglo settlers in Texas. These settlers by definition were not Americans having migrated and taken Mexican oaths of loyalty.

Also, settlers believed Texas would be Annexed by the United States prior to the outbreak of War. Southern expansion as a protection is slavery was always a goal of the Deep South. This cannot be denied.

Texas fought. They won. Texas became a slave state. Just don’t act like what is happening now is worse then what happened then. It is not an invasion. We did that two times.

Holy conflation, batman

you are trying to conflate an illegal dying on their journey, which 1: you don't understand that this actually happens everyday in parts of Texas, 2: we are unfortunately due to circumstance, habituated to illegals dying in deserts and fields along the way, and 3: you, hyperopically, ignore the HUNDREDS of deaths per year that, according to the logic of this thread, Biden killed, in trucks due to heat, suffocation, accidents, coyote (in)action, etc .

There has been no police action, no legal action, no proceedings to charge these persons with a crime, and received sentence. Your ramblings have no basis in either reality nor law. SS started this thread with the hyperbole that Abbott, through legal actions, caused the deaths of two illegals. You are carrying his water as if the Texas judicial system sentenced these illegals to death. I swear, squire, one could think you drink a bit before posting.

Your "arguments" are as hollow as blaming Mayor Pete for highway deaths

No, the spaniards and english just exterminated them and took their land.

Speaking of education curriculums, I wonder if Florida is teaching that one along with how beneficial slavery has been for blacks? I'm sure there are folks on here who would advocate that the taking of the native-americans' land was beneficial to them. After all, they got some reservations and casinos.

Or, let them in. Since we need them to pick our crops, bus our tables, build our homes, mow our lawns, and do all of the other labor-intensive jobs that Americans will not do.

But, no. Let's kill them when they try to cross so they can come work to provide for their families. And, then cheer about it on this forum.

You people. Truly. There is something wrong with you.

Mayor Pete and the Biden Administration did not put up illegal barriers. Likewise, the Biden Administration does not take a good riddance attitude to those deaths as those on this thread have articulated.

What these people have done is not an invasion. It is a misdemeanor that so many here are cavalier about condemning to death on this usurpation of Federal Authority.

There is nothing I have not said about Texas that is not true. In the 1847, we crossed the border. I’m the 1820s Anglos had to swear oaths of loyalty, and obey law of the Mexican Federal Government such as no slaves. They rebelled they won.

The same rhetoric they use against migrants. The Mexican Central Government had as policy when Texas Anglos revolted.

These two deaths are active policy by Texas it has no current right to take. The deaths you highlight are passive.

I agree with you give them a work visa as a legal status w path to citizenship. I have written that before.

"Anglo-Texas War"
Still no correct answer from you.

Answer: no such war existed.

No historian worth their degree has ever heard of said war.

The term was used by revisionists and novelists and was " discussed " in and around and in particular associated with "Texas Rising" by Stephen L. Moore.
