Trump is worried.

This Epstein thing is a gift that keeps on giving. Trump will try all sorts of distractions but I doubt this is going away.

I have been befuddeled as to why MAGAdites are upset about Trump and his admin over the Epstein thing.

The above posted links explain it.

The good Christian Nationalists have forgiven or overlooked a lot with Trump, including being a fake Christian and just using them, and they hold onto the belief he's a God given gift to them, despite his human faults. The premise of course is we're all flawed and can still serve God, or perhaps serve those who claim to serve God.

It's utter hypocrisy of course. But being linked to pedophilia causes great dissonance in the Force. They can't cope with the irony of their own hypocrisy.

But perhaps here's a more concise explanation:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news...Piq?ocid=socialshare

'Hard to grasp': Analyst says MAGA hypocrisy has left Trump 'bewildered'
Story by Adam Nichols • 4h •
3 min read

"MAGA voters have made it abundantly clear that they do not care about sexual abuse," Marcotte wrote. "They didn’t care when a tape of Trump bragging about sexual assault was released in 2016. They didn’t care when he was found liable for sexual assault by a civil jury in 2023. They don’t mind that Trump goes out of his way to associate with men accused of sex crimes, from Epstein to Vince McMahon to Pete Hegseth to Matt Gaetz and numerous others.

"For Trump, this has to be bewildering. His supporters do not treat sexual violence like it’s a bad thing. So why do they care about Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes, or the identities of his alleged co-conspirators?"

The answer lies in MAGA's desperate need for moral absolution, she wrote.

Unlike Trump's adult victims, Epstein abused underage girls. In that narrow space between misogynist violence and pedophilia, MAGA masses have found their salvation.

"Despite their acceptance of misogynist violence, they still get to be the 'good guys' because they draw the line at raping minors<' the columnist wrote.

"By being very loudly against pedophilia, they can recast themselves as the heroes, ignoring all the other villainous behavior, including their love of a man who boasted about how he grabs unsuspecting women by their genitals."

Marcotte went on, "This is, no doubt, hard for Trump to grasp. He has never shown any sign of having a conscience, and he likely can’t imagine how his supporters might be suppressing feelings of guilt for their complicity in backing a sexual predator.

"The Epstein conspiracy theory serves as a coping mechanism for cognitive dissonance. Yes, Trump assaulted E. Jean Carroll—but if Bill Clinton is on a mythical "Epstein client list," Democrats are worse. Yes, Trump's cabinet undermines children's safety—but fantasizing about Bill Gates as a child molester lets them pretend they're protecting kids."

Several times I tried to get information under the Freedom of Information Act, which requires an agency to respond to information requests within thirty days. The drill was always the same.

No response for several months. Send a follow-up letter, wait another month of two, finally get a letter saying they're working on it. No mention of the thirty-day deadline.

Wait a few more months, then repeat. Eventually the underlying case (or bid protests) will resolve, without your ever getting the info.

If you try for a court order, the judge will grant it and order the agency to comply with FOIA...within thirty days. If the agency fails to comply, you have no remedy. The court won't hold the agency or its bureaucrats in contempt.

If Congress was serious about the FOIA, they'd make one change: provide that if the agency fails to comply with it, the people responsible for that failure shall lose their jobs.

Interesting. Trump now says his supporters calling for the release of the list are “stupid” and “weaklings”. Hope the “boys” and “gals” appreciate how their hero feels about them. I actually tend to agree with Trump . . . albeit for different reasons.

The proper answer to this is "...I've been called worse by better...".

. . . the morphing of a conspiracy theory into a real conspiracy.

Notice something? The MAGAts here run from this issue like a scalded ass ape. When it comes to defending the Orange Messiah, they're quite comfortable even ignoring pedophiles. Trump said his supporters were "stupid" and "weaklings" . . . he just got which segment of his supporters wrong. It's the ones prepared to look the other way when a real swamp conspiracy surfaces.

I think he actually "feels about them" that way about his supporters all along. He actually proved them to be stupid and weaklings when they bought his lies and manipulation, telling them what they wanted, and he wanted them to hear. He now doesn't understand why some have turned and he can't simply sway them as usual.

The Orwellian Double Think works, but there is a limit, even with stupid weakling subjects.

Considering the multiple sexual assault charges that he has had brought against him it's hard to accept that the following isn't true. Knowing that he is such a horndog is another reason to believe that he's probably guilty as charged.

Did JE use those "hundreds" of underage girls just for himself?

Why would all of those clients go there if there wasn't something to go for?
There may not be a list, but you can bet that there is something in the case files that trump and others don't want known.

The whole thing is now such a shitshow that one doesn't know what to believe, esp. from an administration that is just as likely to lie as not.
Why so many pics of trump with JE out there?
