I stopped voting for any major party for like 15 years. I think parties are a way around the will of the people. That’s my reasoning. Believe what you want. I hated that republicans were just becoming another big govt party, neglected the national debt and turned a blind eye to the immigration issue.

I have principles. If Trump does what is right, I take no issue. If he violates those principles, I take issue. Trump is not my idol. I am a constitutional libertarian but I also see that the US has responsibilities to use its power to promote freedom.

I don't know how that translates to knowing what's right in judging Trump, since he has violated several principles that IMO reasonable people consider violation of what's right.

And IMO, most of those, perhaps all, who support him seem to me to be screwed up in judging right and wrong re Trump's behavior and apparent goals.
