Yea, and trying to apply logic, reason, or proof in a religious context is bound to result in frustration.

But from a secular context, logic, reason, evidence suggesting or supporting proof, is applicable. That's the sanity of the Founders in making the constitution secular.

The majority of the woke democrats do not believe in God or in God and Country.
The woke Dems have supported no religion in our schools . Another reason the WOKE party lost the election in mass.

To steal a play by Jeff. So, you know all Democrats?

Actually, the data says most believe in God.

My beliefs are clear. And I have given scripture to support every position.

I also know God did not sacrifice a human being to make Trump president.

"God's plan!" Bah!

Was it God's plan that we ate fruit of the Tree of Knowledge? I was always taught that it was Adam and Eve's free will. But if God's plan must always be done, and everything goes according to His plan, then he planned for our Fall. He not only set us up to fail but guaranteed it.

What nonsense. The shooter missed Trump and killed an innocent bystander. God may have stood by and watched it unfold, but he didn't plan for it or make it happen.

Mike,
As a lawyer you should know, several of your statements walk the line here on getting you an FBI visit. Don once suspended me on making a similar comment about 0bama. He sent me a PM stating that the FBI monitored this forum and that I should be careful. Just FYI.

Not to mention the fact that as a shrill J6 screamer it makes you look hypocritical to saying we might be better off with an assassination. 2020

There's so much that can be inferred from the assumption that God saved him.

Just to name a few inferences:

He's God's tool
He can do no wrong
God uses sinners to sin some more
All that pussy grabbing was okay with God
All those officers who suffered from 1/6/21 events was God's plan
Trump lied, people died
God is okay with Trump paying hush money and hiding it in attorney fees
Pretending to be Christian
And so forth, thousands of examples.

Since you "know" so much about all this, how do you "know" it's 1 in 10, regarding intervention and God's plan?

According to your dogma, God is omnipresent and omnipotent. The two ideas are mutually inclusive . Are you saying that's not the case?

=========================

Re the one, well, technically you are Right (pun intended for Shanks)

Since theologically we're all sinners, if God's interventions in human affairs includes individuals as tools, then that rationalization works.

I mean, why would God go half-assed? Groom an individual for years, fully develop the Dark Triad personality, then turn him loose on the world. Saving him from a bullet is a small thing in context.

Let's follow your belief all the way. Let's say the BIG BANG was a supernatural event, the beginning, the Genesis of God's plan for our dimension in space and time. Then take that particular bullet that hit Trump's ear. According to your theology and belief, God knew from the beginning, before earth was even formed, that the elements in that particular bullet, the brass etc., down to a sub-atomic level, was destined for that day and time to snip Trump's ear.

If President Trump wants to believe that God saved him, so be it.

If some people believe in predestination, I am not going to be able to change their minds, but by the amount of evil God allows in this world, it seems pretty self evident that while he has the power to control everything, he elects not to do so directly but rather gives us free will and "helps those who help themselves" and encourages us to help our neighbors and to be better people.

Face it, if God had wanted all of us to obey his laws, he could have made us incapable of not following his laws. He made us in his image, in other words gave us free will, and decided that for the most part he would just watch us and see what happens, and there is a consequence to not following his will, but it comes after you have your chance.

There are a handful of instances documented in the Bible of God giving direct intervention.

Again, not arguing for the affirmative or the negative here.

A second Trump presidency is our penance for being dumb enough to nominate him three times.

Predestination precludes faith, whereas free will allows one to choose to believe or not.

It is said he made us in his own image, but that’s something I struggle to understand given the way we treat each other.

In the theology I was taught, that was free will.

God does what he wants. In his image, we get to do what we want. It doesn’t mean we look like him, have his power, or his attributes. We make choices. Good, bad, evil, saintly.

Yes, you are arguing for the affirmative re intervention.

documented: "to show the existence or truth of by evidence".

The meaning of PROCLAIM is to declare publicly, typically insistently, proudly, or defiantly and in either speech or writing : announce.

The Bible proclaims rather than documents.

"The New Testament contains 27 books written in Greek by 15 or 16 different authors between 50 C.E and 120 C.E. It can be divided into 4 groups: Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, Epistles, and Apocalypse. The New Testament contains 4 Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John."

What is the spiritual meaning of image?
"Moses writes that man is created in God's "image" and "likeness." Any reliable lexicon mentions that "image" and "likeness" reinforce each other in a manner common to Hebrew. It means we are like God in form and implies that, like Him, we have a spiritual capacity which animals do not have."
