We do not need someone who cost their state 3 million dollars, and was ordered to undergo this re-training as AG.

The majority of Texans cannot change the above facts.

The man should be disbarred.

He has no business being AG of anywhere.
Oh, and the state budget will not stop enforcement of that settlement, nor Paxton’s ethical violations.

Yeah, Paxton is squeaky clean, no bad shit will get brought up about him.

If they know any Republicans should consider appointing people who are both qualified for a position and not obviously disqualified by their biography.

Whether it was paid or not, the fact is he lost the case and was ordered to pay. And this was in a TX court… Unfit for dog catcher, like Gaetz.

Paxton is an OK guy and just the man for the job for this AG position. He would be my pick if I was Trump.

If that judgement was so cut and dry…it couldn’t have been blocked.

There is a whole lot more to the Paxton situation in Texas than most know.

Yiu cannot rationally dispute it. He had to issue an apology and go to ethics retraining. He shredded to pay. The Stste budget will not stop the settlement from being enforced.

You can dispute all you want. You are intentionally misleading when you do.

About 20 minutes following up the links on a Google search about Paxton will tell you all you need to need to know about Paxton- especially all the links to his numerous criminal issues……If anything, he is less qualified to be USAG than Gaetz. Of course, he has 2 extremely important positive points- he is a Texan and he is a true Trump syncophant. flame

Let's see. Paxton's lawyers dragged out a federal fraud indictment for so long that it was dropped.
He survived an ugly impeachment in the Texas legislature that included testimony from his mistress.
He sicced his attack dogs on Annunciation House, a Catholic charity in El Paso that helps immigrants awaiting the disposition of their asylum claims.

Perfect fit in the Trump admin.

Yeah, well Notion paid off the President is South Korea to lampoon the 1968 Paris deal simply to win an election.

Those who win do not equate to deserving. Sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. Deserving has little to do with it.

You cannot rebut he cost the state 3.5 million because of his malfeasance. Malfeasance against civil servants who obeyed the law and sought to hold the powerful accountable. He was reprimanded for it as an ethical violation of his profession. He was required to apologize.

The man is not deserving of anything.

The Texas State Legislature csnnot prevent the settlement from being paid, nor whip away the actions that caused it.

What I am saying is that the people of Texas know Ken best and they chose him with even the best of lawfare Travis Co. could pitch.

I happen to know a lot about this saga that developed from a small matter of an opinion that he “might” have committed a minor securities violation and was escalated by left-wing out of state money throwing gasoline on a small blaze. I admire Ken for his tenacity. Is he a perfect person? Is anyone?
