I have been using photobucket as image hosting for posting pictures here, but it is a real pain.

During the upload, it has this little window that says it won't interfer with the image upload, but that's a load of crap. When the pop-up advertisments start, the upload stops, and locks up explorer browser.

I would like to find an alternative, based on recommendation from those with good results.

I never have that problem with photobucket. Do you have your "pop-up Blocker" turned off?

Try using the Firefox browser instead of IE. If it works better for you, you won't have to upload all your photos to a new site.

I haven't tried the other suggestions yet. I do know that I'm sick of the photobucket issues whatever the cause. I hate pop-ups especially when they are right in the middle of the screen and say at the bottom they won't interfere with the up-load, when they obviously do since the upload stops when the pop-up appears.

Pop-ups are the price to use some free sites. Not everyone is as generous as our host.
