It must have. My post 4 posts ago put it on page 18 and now it's at the bottom of 17.

We are learning from this very useful thread. Eeker

Cal,

I'll have to pass. I'll be cooking. You on the other hand should have plenty of time. It will keep your mind off of how often people double your 600NE and hit the low roof with the barrels. Big Grin

Cheers

ISS took advantage of my ill health to steal an annealer (Giraud), Gunsafe (Browning), and a 9mm AR-15. He extorted a Mauser action from me, and almost got away with my Redding UltraMag reloader. He badgered me because he wanted a Winchester CRF action (Classic out of New Haven). I had traded a 9mm AR-15 to him for the annealer. I ended up with neither. When I was at death's door he befriended me, then took great advantage.

Still, I am alive, and new artifacts can always be bought. or rebuilt. I am safely away from him, and that is all that counts. It doesn't matter how strong you were in your prime, if illness makes you weak as a kitten, you are just a small snack for a predator. If I never see him again that will be too soon. Perhaps he never respected boundaries of behavior in the adult world. If this behavior is relatively new (five years), then a non malignant growth to the inside of the skull (Meningioma) is always part of the differential diagnosis. More ominous would be a malignant metastasis.

He was totally convinced that he was due everything he took (and demanded more). At the same time, I believe he knew that what he was doing was very wrong. He seemed to get off on the power. I'm done.

Yes...but the "official story" is something about him threatening people..even though he hasn't done that in a number of years.

I received a telephone message today, to wit:

quote:
...If you don't make a full retraction, and say that you made it all up, I will send the sheriff's deputies Monday morning on your doorstep with a warrant. See what type of medical care you can get then...
The voice sounded like someone was full of rage.

I could be wrong, but I may have been threatened.

Of course, I could pass a polygraph. I think he might have some trouble doing that.

Hopefully he won't come over with a gun. That would be trespassing.
Lois mentioned to me that he once sent an email wherein he said that he wouldn't give the possessions back.
I thought that I was the only one that had borne the brunt of this type of behavior. I'm sorry if anyone else has been subject to threatening behavior. It is not pleasant, I can attest to that. 301.81 applies in all its particulars.

No, this is the truth. I am not much of a jokester, and would certainly never joke about such a matter. If I was posting something untrue, I would be liable for potential civil penalties.

My wife is a lawyer, retired by disability. I am a retired doctor, and a former military officer (O-5), also nearly fully disabled. As anyone who has been on these forums since 2004 knows, I would not joke about such a matter.

The behavior I have described today is perfectly consistent with the last eighteen pages.

I remain perfectly willing to take a polygraph (they are much more accurate than in years past). You pop for the poly.

I'm sorry about being so abrupt/terse. I am irritated by today's events. It reminds me of how hard it was to regain those belongings of mine that I was able to take home.

Hopefully this prevents anyone else from falling into the same trap. When you are on death's door, and someone proffers a helping hand, THEN you find out the hand was to take belongings, that is a bad feeling.

Again, my apologies.

Nothing brings out the relatives and "pals" like someone on deaths door. I've heard more stories like this the I can remember.
On the brighter side, I'm very glad you are still with us Lawndart. Do you still have your 6.5 grendal in your own version?

I sold one, but I am building another one next spring. I have a Sako Varmint, single shot rifle in 6mm PPC USA. The threads are WAY off in the receiver. I am having Greg Tannel cut the threads via single point cutter until they are straight. Then it will get a barrel for a no-turn neck 6mm PPC USA Match, and a second barrel in 6.5 Lawn Dart.

Les Baer came out with the .264 LBC rifle about five years ago. I had released my reamer print to the world years before that. I got a copy of the .264 LBC print, and one of my print and laid them side by side. They differed by 0.0003" in one measurement. That, I took as a vote of confidence. Cool

I asked Rich about the Lawndart posts.

He had read the original post and did call and ask him to retract it or he would call the "law" and get a warrant.

He said that Lawndart asked him to hold some guns and equipment for him as he had been sued and there was a judgment against so they had filed bankruptcy and did not want the court to know about the stuff.

Rich says that he was told he could keep the safe for "storage fees".

After about five years they came and got the stuff and Rich kept the safe.

I am just relaying Rich's version of this; make your own call as only ISS and Lawndart know what happened for sure.

This is what happens when we keep having a discussion like this and the party being spoken about is forbidden from participating.

I am taking no sides. I do not doubt lawndart nor anyone else. That is not the point. The point is that nobody should be talked
about IN AN OPEN INTERNET FORUM without being allowed to defend themselves. It just isn't right.

The man misbehaved and was banned. Over and done.

This thread is childish and should have been deleted 18 pages ago. 2020

Rich sent me a message asking to relay a similar message. I decided to do a little research first and by the time I had found a few things the thread had gone missing but since I managed to find it again I thought I would post what I did find and Rich's message.

Rich did provide Lawndarts real name in his email but I believe it is against the rules to reveal another members personal information on this site but the information in the links below is accurate to the name provided to me by Rich.

So here's Rich's message copied from my email:
quote:
Please post a public response to him saying that I told you he had filed bankruptcy over a lawsuit judgment with the State of Idaho several years ago; and that he had asked me to store over $80,000 worth of firearms and reloading equipment at my shop without telling me he was hiding assets from his bankruptcy for nearly five years. That when he did tell me I gave him three days to come and get his stuff. And, that if he does not post a full retraction saying everything he posted was a lie, I will contact the State of Idaho Monday morning and let them know.
And that when he GAVE me that safe there were four witnesses to him bringing it to my shop and giving it to me as a favor for storing his things.

So here's some links that at least verify some of Rich's version...
links deleted because they reveal a member's name. To the moderator who deleted my links they are a matter of public record found on the internet and do not reveal any information that is not already available about Lawdart. For anybody who is interested please contact me via email so that I can provide the links without violating this sites rules. cstolzer338@hotmail.com

This last one isn't related to the accusations that Lawndart makes but it does speak to his character. Page 1 and Page 5:

Ummmm if either party had engaged in such an activity they would be committing fraud. Not sure that's something anyone should be boasting about or admitting to in a public forum. Statute of limitations and all...

I think what Opus! is saying is the legal version of what "Judge Milian" of TV fame says . . .

Say it, forget it.
Write it, regret it!

Does anyone besides me notice that every late winter/early spring some giant PISSING contest gets started in a site.

I wonder it this whole thread was erased if anyone would be the worse for wear?
