COOL has hit this forum 16.2 times a day since October 5, 2003. Does anyone else top that level of background noise?

What difference does it make? Who are we to criticise another's use of time? If you don't think what he posts is of interest, use the Ignore function.

You're probably right, it doesn't matter, but I find human behavior interesting. You've posted 3.4 posts per day since you've joined. If you tried to post 16.2 posts per day, I doubt you, or I could do it. How does anyone find the time?

We also have threads initiated congratulating people for posting their 100th comment, and their 1,000th comment. Why does that matter? Why is that relavent? I don't think it is, and not worthy of a celebration, or congratulations.

We have chipmunks here that just chatter. Posting nothing of value; mostly posturing. We're a strange bunch.

I think one of the benefits of the Internet is it gives a voice to people who in their real lives have no one listening to them.

Maybe that is why forums and chat-rooms take up such a large part of their lives. There is something sad about that.

Given the choice of Alvin, Simon or Theodore, I'd think Alvin the most prolific. But listening to their high pitched voices, perhaps they had their balls stepped on and even Viagra won't help.

Just my way of saying

Next time don't wait so long. I would hate to say something, three years later die, and three years after I'm dead, you drop some words of wisdom.

I guess I'll have to put in my will that they maintain me a Wi-Fi connection for three years after they close the hole, just in case. I ain't giving you the last word.

I would like to respond to Longbob right now, but I'm going to wait two years. (I like his laid-back, "I'll get back to you, when I get back to you" style.)

I wish Geedubya and Edmond would emulate that on the Political Forum. Wouldn't that be a cool conversation.

Edmond (September 2018): "Geedubya, you are a dumbass."

Geedubya (January 2021): "... and your Mother too."

Think of the anticipation. and who is going to say what.......and more importantly...when!

If they didn't count the posts in the "Political" forum most of the high post count members would have about 10% of their present number of posts.

Not really ANY comparison between Edmond and GW:

Edmond joined 10/02 118,293 posts
Geedubya joined 10/01 17,773 posts

You can find GW starting threads and post comments in other forums, most notably pig hunting and knife forum......
