Jerry,

Do you weight the bases to hold the tusks against tipping?

The tusks are perfectly balanced , they will actually stand by themselves. The bronze elephant head mounts and cherry wood bases are fairly heavy though, you would have to push them over to make them fall.

Jerry, that is a beautiful display.
Dennis, your revelation of what another man potentially spent was tacky.

Well, 505gibbs, I didn't think of it that way, ONLY you with your tacky smart *ss remarks all over this forum would.

I simply and inadvertently mentioned the cost of Scotts bronze holders, no malice was at all indented. this was in a longer post than now appears, they are the most beautiful holders you can find or buy and pricy.

Would like to get my hands on a set sometime, he does auction some of them at SCI and other shows once and while I heard.

Yes, they went together very well. They are tight, you can pick them up on each end and carry the whole thing as a unit.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
