Jerry HuffakerThe tusks are perfectly balanced , they will actually stand by themselves. The bronze elephant head mounts and cherry wood bases are fairly heavy though, you would have to push them over to make them fall.

I simply and inadvertently mentioned the cost of Scotts bronze holders, no malice was at all indented. this was in a longer post than now appears, they are the most beautiful holders you can find or buy and pricy.

The Artistry of WildlifeThanks Jerry, I've seen them , circumference of the mounting holes for the tusks, easily worked with your fit ? loose or was is adjusted easy?
Would like to get my hands on a set sometime, he does auction some of them at SCI and other shows once and while I heard.

Yes, they went together very well. They are tight, you can pick them up on each end and carry the whole thing as a unit.
