Oh look....another one of DTH's chronies!!! Isn't it odd how most of DTH's support is coming from members with less than 10 posts and in most cases only 2 or 3?

How exciting!

These idiots show up with no previous posts on any subject and keep the dead thread going.....

Keep digging DTH and friends....it only gets better!

This has become really intersting.

DTH- is this part of your business plan? Do you get a bunch of guys together and then go policing around the forums? If so, how well does it work for you? I am trying to raise funds for mule deer research and I thought maybe, if I went to other forums and found other researchers and then slammed the hell out of them, that I could raise some funds.....any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.

Move on to what? This a forum for crying out loud, I come here to unwind and shoot the shit. If a topic or post doesn't interest me...I don't read it. If it does...sometimes I post my opinion. I certainly appreciate yours. You think we should "Move on"- (you must be a Howard Dean/ Michael Moore/ George Soros fan?)

I think its fun to ride this DTH jerkoff like a worn out pony.

Ohhh..wait------> the thought police are coming!!!!!

Its funny how people love to control their surroundings. Some read things that make them uncomfortable and simply ignore them, others get proactive and try to change them or stop them.

Fascinating.

Anyway, your probably right......not.

AT least I know now not to hunt with DTH! This thread has become hilarious...most entertaining.

IdahoVandal,

Are the whitetails as big up there as they were in the 90's? There were some huge ones around Cd'A when I lived there.

Good hunting,

Andy

ACR: There are some big ones around down here on the Palouse, it has been a real dry couple of years so I think antler size is going to be proportionally smaller from that. A friend of mines dad killed a non-typical las November about 10 miles east of Troy that he claims is number 8 all time in Idaho whitetails although I have never looked at the book or done anything to verify this. (So back off DTH!!!!)

He seems lke a straight shooter though....

(get it? STRAIGHT SHOOTER.... roflmao roflmao nut)

thanks for pointing the truth out DTH

I don't call it "policing the forum" when someone lies, either intentionally or not and they get called on it.

I don't give a shit what you post count is, the I'm going to sue you because I lied is beyond belief, and still the yes men line up.

Well, since you seem overly concerned about my “feeling foolish†I have a few extra minutes to offer some opinions on the “public forumâ€.

1) I don’t know Ray from a hole in the ground. He seems nice to me from what I have observed here. Eeker
2) I find it funny how guides/outfitters/ and others in the “hunting business†try to use these forums to take down their competition. But it is a public forum and I believe in free speech. thumb

Although I found many in this post to be full of #^&, I am sure many found me to be full of the same #^&! To me this is a public forum and a place to shoot the BS and get a good laugh once in awhile. I felt DTH was full of KAKA! So I said so. I have read some of his posts since and left well enough alone. I have received cordial replies from DTH since then to a couple of my posts.
Its water under the bridge as far as I am concerned. One thing I have learned is that we share a passion for mule deer (although he seems to kill them and I am trying to conserve them so that they may continue to kill them in the future----something sounds funny about that statement??) Sometimes I think we all take this forum to damn seriously! sofa

So, I guess take from it what you want and leave the rest….. as far as the topic of the other thread (what a shitstorm!) I think if you want a guarantee look towards the IRS bulland the Grim Reaper gunsmile—those are the only guarantees in life I know of.

It sucks this gentleman was offered a refund or a changed booking and chose not to take it. But do you see a pattern developing in how other guides/outfitters seem to move in for the kill? Reminds me of lions in Tanzania—( or maybe not..........)

I have actually been trying my best to get out of the business. To do it right takes a lot more than what I truly want to give anymore. As for being competitors, I dont look at it that way. That would be like saying an outfitter in Canada would be in competition with an outfitter in Texas. Its a different type and style of hunt.

I feel the same way.

I have enjoyed reading IVs posts on mule deer, it is evident that we do in fact share a passion for them. Whats funny is that I have actually never harvested one myself, I have been too busy guiding which is another reason I am wanting to do less for other people.

My intent with this thread this past summer was to just make people aware that the hunt was not as advertised. It was full of errors and misprints. I never said that the hunt was a "bad" hunt, just that the man doing the advertising was being really shady and I felt he was trying to pull the wool over the eyes of AR members. Every post I have seen him make on the subject of west TX mule deer has been so overblown that I would have a problem if I didn't say anything. The country can produce giants but rest assured that if they were killing 40"+ deer that gross over 200" every year as he has claimed in the past then he would not need to advertise on the internet and they would be priced a lot higher than what they are.

I think at this point it is a dead horse and I believe that from this point forward he might be a little more humble and honest in his dealings with people here on AR if he chooses to even come back after the DG fiasco with Sheephunter.

Gatogordo, I truly hope that you harvest the deer of a lifetime on your upcoming hunt! I hope that you come back with a great deer, great pictures and a story that you will never be tired of telling.

DTH
