I thought I would post this buck up here as I know most of you haven't seen it. I shot this buck during rifle season with my Muzzle loader back in 2007. I hunted the deer for 8 days in September and never saw him (we saw him that summer). I ran out of days so decided to come back in November for rifle season. Opening day of rifle during the afternoon hunt he was the third buck I saw chasing a doe. I shot him at 160 yards and he only went about 30 yards from where I shot him (good thing too because there was no blood what so ever except where he fell).

When I saw him in the summer, I thought he was pushing 190, but I couldn't really tell what he had on that left side. When I picked his head up I knew he was over 200", but wasn't sure how much over. My initial score put him at 213", but a B&C measurer got him to 218 3/8" gross (pleasant surprise). His net was below 195" though because that left side basically doesn't have a typical frame. Anyway, enjoy.

Greg

Pulled out in the grass. You can see the little tripod I was on in this photo. Amazing they don't ever bust you if you're still in those things, because you have ZERO cover up there.

Thanks, gotta show him off every once in a while, he's most likely the biggest I'll ever get especially because I don't hunt whitetails like I used to. I was in college when I shot him packing 15 hours of class into 2 days so I could take a ton of time off for hunting. Not the case anymore, plus I use all my vacation time for bigger game in NA or Africa. I did chase this buck around 2 years later with my bow. He was most likely 180" as a clean 10, never could sneak him though because he was with a hot doe and constantly had smaller bucks running around him. Fun to hunt for a week though!

This buck was actually on a piece of walk-in public property.

One hell of an Okie buck! There are some sleeper areas in Oklahoma for fantastic whitetails and that deer is one of them! Congratulations!

Thank you!

While I agree with you about Oklahoma, I actually took this buck in Central Kansas. My area of Oklahoma is definitely a good secret as I have some giants on camera there as well and have quite a few sheds off of bucks in the 150-170" range.
