Jimmy,

Anything in 20-22" stainless I could live with in 338 federal, 358 win, and 350 mag, I just want that contour they use on the current 350's. It is beefy enough for me, for accuracy and hold. Prefer it to the standard caliber contour myself. Not that for 3 shots its an accuracy issue, but extra weight helps the hold. I have confidence in Ruger, barrels I have seen/used in past few years are SLICK and consistent, not seen one that seemed bad enough to warrant a rebarrel. Scope rings/system is about as rugged as I can imagine.

I could get a T3 Tikka for little more but in the medium bores, might opt for the Ruger, getting a metal floorplate, vs synthetic box mag. If Tikka made a floorplate with metal, then I would likely go that route, as they have mfg. the 338's already and I am sure the barrels are great-given they are Sako.

Oh, I would prefer Iron's on the mid bores just because. Ruger listening?
