Certainly I've noticed your absence on the CBF. Figured you left cause no one was laughing at your jokes.....just kidding.

Yes I do find this thread most humorous. To me it's like guys with a 36HP VW bug getting on the freeway and bragging how much speed they have. I Know of no shooting contest where RPM is a factor so if it can be done or not--so what?

Because you don't "know" (unlike you and gear I won't mention the inappropriate capital "K" as a spelling errorWink) of a "shooting contest where RPM is a factor" does not mean there aren't any, there are several as a matter of fact.

I know there is a formula for RPM but I am so interested in it that I have never looked it up and figured it. If a person does happen to shoot cast bullets accurately at a velocity higher than most, so what. It really doesn't make them an expert on all the internal and external ballistics of that bullet.

That statement should really be addressed to joe, gear and 45 2.1. I've no problem with shooting cast bullets at less than HV. Those 3 are certainly not "experts" either, by any stretch of their own imaginations rotflmo

Sure they may have OPINIONS as to what takes place, but until they crawl in that barrel they don't really know. I pee several times a day, but I'm no expert on urinary tracts.

Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has them. Opinions are not facts supported by ballistic science and reality. Their opinions are based on the non sensical analogies they come up with. They have yet to prove their "opinions" in front of reputable witnesses. Even a couple members of the "group" say what they claim just ain't so......... Eeker

BTW; I do appreciate your sense of humor (even if sometimes strange tu2) here and, if you go back, on the CBF.

Why Gibby, have I become your Huckleberry?

They didn't have the Golden Bullet Award when I was on CB. How about this, I do have a sticky on CB. But I don't think your three banned friends will not get one so why don't you honk on them about being banned. Why Larry, do you have banned friends?

Now I noticed you got on Carpetman for spelling. Read this you wrote:

Hey I want to mail you some Crayons. I see you like childish things like the emoticons so you might enjoy the crayons for drawing. You have to promise now you won't use them to dye your bullet lube.

Larry--my inappropriate capital K would be a punctuation error--not a spelling error. I find it especially humorous that a person that could take spelling lessons from Veral Smith mentions someones spelling. If you dont have Veral Smith's "book" (I think a pamphlet) Jacketed Performance With Cast Bullets, get a copy and you might see what I mean. I have not mentioned your spelling except several years ago I finally corrected your constant misspelling of the word consistent---and you finally started spelling it consistent instead of consistant(sic). I have overlooked all the others, but if you like, I'll start pointing them out for you.

Makes me wonder how Larry could read those books he always throws at us when he misspells words so bad. Getting senile in the later years there Larry?

DrB a little short on ballistics knowledge? You really do just spew words out as if they have no meaning whatsoever. Same as calling me a plagiarist for explaining ballistic theory.

That man holds a Ph,D. in physics, much of which involved ballistics, and he has found defeciencies (sp?)in your theory similar to what the rest of us have. He politely (several times in several posts) invited you to have an intelligent theoretical discussion of your RPM threshold, which would have been a good opportunity to really evalutate its validity. He could have helped you with the finer points of the math if you would have listened to him, and if you had an open mind you could have seen the error of your ways and looked for better explanations, causes, and solution to the RPM monster.

But no, as usual, because he wasn't stupid enough to buy your long-winded bullshit like most people are, you automatically wrote him off and started calling him names, making total bullshit comments about his level of "understanding" or "knowledge". This is exactly the pattern I referred to way back on this thread: You tell everyone how you think it is, and if they disagree, you call them names. If you were a credible experimenter, you would approach this RPM thing with an open mind instead of "I'm right and if you don't agree with me it's because you're too stupid" attitude of yours. You truly are a legend in your own mind.

Gear,

I'm getting an autographed copy (I'm sending Larry his name so he spells it right) of Larry's "Exterior Ballistics" which you can read when I'm finished. I believe I can probably read it in 5 minutes or less. I'll let you know.

That's ok, Joe, you can save the postage. I already know how to shoot 1.5 MOA groups at 1800 fps, from a ten-twist, learned that 20 years ago.

Larry this is an honest request for information. Tell me about RPM matches. You have piqued my interest. I have several questions. How do they do it? What are they called. Are there penalties for going above or below a certain RPM? Do they measure twist in barrels and velocity of every shot? Can contestants protest and measurements be taken akin to in car racing a persons engine be torn down? Would seem all in all a pretty complicated match.

No, he did NOT write the book on it. I know people a lot further up the ladder that make him look like an insignificant piker at what he does. Getting all of your help shit-canned would not happen if the leader was the least bit competent. He might think he knows a lot.... but it surely doesn't show.

No need to further correct my spelling, with the intelligent quotient of the 3 amigo's there's no need. I do use spell check occasionally but for the most part my spelling is ok. I was unaware that capitalization fell under puncuation? It has been a while since high school and college for me, no excuse intended just mentioning it.

Get a life and check the thread gear. I supplied the "good" DrB with the information requested and it was he who failed to respond. A PHD in physics does mean he studied ballistics. His use of "flingies" for flyers shows how much knowledge he really has/had, about the same as your recent "wind effect" example. I'm not one to discount any ones knowledge of a subject because of a few spelling errors. If you do then you demonstrate an inane ignorance. I discount any ones knowledge on a subject when they act like a pompas ass yet can’t even use the right terminology. I was discussing the ballistics of the RPM threshold very early on in these discussions several years ago. All you did then was mumble about “nodes” and “launch” and ask stupid questions about PP’d bullets. I answered your questions then and you said they were wrong because you didn’t agree with them (pretty non sensical). Now, after I give you 3 amigo’s 3 references you all begged for you quote (plagiarize actually) a small portion and pretend to be a ballistics expert? Give us a break! You haven’t ever answered any of my real questions regarding ballistics (like the last one regarding the influence in centrifugal force). You don’t because you’ve read the ballistics book I gave you and it confirms what I’ve said. You’re shitting no one gear; you are a plagiarist, if the shoe fits wear it.

You bet I wrote DrB off. He wouldn’t respond in other than as a pompas ass. I answered him and he failed to respond. I also tried to discuss his “flingies” with him and he failed to respond. My guess is if he is really a PHD then he has a semblance of intelligence. He probably read something or actually did some research on ballistics, discovered I was correct. Giving him the benefit of doubt he probably just backed out rather than admitting his mistake. Too bad you are smart enough to do the same.

They didn't have the Golden Bullet Award when I was on CB. How about this, I do have a sticky on CB. But I don't think your three banned friends will not get one so why don't you honk on them about being banned. Why Larry, do you have banned friends? Why Huckleberry, what eva' do you mean?

Now I noticed you got on Carpetman for spelling. Read this you wrote:

Tose 3 are certainly not "experts" either, by any stretch of their own imaginations

What's Tose?

Huh?

Hey I want to mail you some Crayons. I see you like childish things like the emoticons so you might enjoy the crayons for drawing. You have to promise now you won't use them to dye your bullet lube.

Pretty "non sensical" (check message to carpetman1 for the meaning), are you out in left field again? I must say I agree with your father......

Larry Gibson

Ha ha ha ha...you edited it to spell it right but you can't edit what I copied. Nice try!

Like YOU can't edit what you copy? How stupid do you think everyone is joe? Pretty moronic behavior. And don't give us anymore of your crap about "personal attacks"; you just posted this "But you'd be wrong brother Grimm. You seem better when you are on your medicines. and Larry, does your dog like you?", a pretty "personal attack" isn't it. Not only stupid and moronic joe, but pretty hypocritical also. Yup, I do have to agree with your father.........he was smart and he apparently realized none of his intelligence got passed down....... Frowner

Larry Gibson

Gibby,

None of those are personal attacks. I asked a simple question if your dog liked you. Hell he may favor another family member. Usually they do like better who treats them better and stuff like giving them treats and such. Brother Grim is from your best-est friend Pat I. That's what he said to me before he committed ban suicide. you mean to tell me you don't take not even one medicine? At your age? I don't believe it.

Keep calling me a moron. I believe Don is counting them up.

For the record, this is what started the spelling crap. See how you've twisted what I said in the past two pages Larry? I said nothing about judging your intelligence by your spelling, or riding you for it. I mentioned it once, about one word. Don't make shit up about that. And you DO consistently botch that one, so your saying that it was a "typo" above is pure bullshit. You simply don't know how to spell "lessen" as in mitigate or reduce. No big deal, but go back to CB and do a search of your name and "lesson" and see how many times it comes up and in one context. Keeping you in touch with reality is a full-time job for anyone, you can't even be trusted for an unqualified opinion about the weather with your lousy twisting of every meaning in every word you type, much less a complex ballistic theory.

Well Larry... you have earned a couple of more badges from the other posters here. First ANOTHER "Prime Troll" badge and an "Internet Bully Boy" badge. Keep this up and you'll get a "Fledgling Narcissist" badge as well.

Why bobby, such, delusions of grandeur, thinking you have any power to “award” anyone anything…… Whistling

You must really be pissed off to know there is dissension with in your “group” and they are letting your dirty little secrets out………you can really do what you claim to do (as in shoot cast bullets accurately at the velocities you claim)…….. bewildered

Larry Gibson

Gibby, that's a faux pas post if I ever saw one. Just hang in there, I'll get those crayons to you as soon as you give me your RV address. Got to get you off those childish emoticons!

Why Hucleberry, I do declare.....parlez vous francais....... clap

Crayons hell, you couldn't even send me quality 6.5 bullets.......you'll probably have to go to a restuarant and steal some kids crayons anyways........I don't want to be a part of your, gear and bobby's self delusions and possible criminal activity as such......... animal

Larry Gibson

Sooooo that's what done it...the other little kids stole your crayons. I'd never guessed.

You couldn't tell a good bullet if you saw one. One of the many reasons you can't shoot cast at HV from a fast twist with accuracy.
