Check out foxnews.com. There is a photo of perhaps the biggest hog ever. I would put a link to it if I knew how.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Hogzilla is being made into a horror movie. But the sequel may be even bigger: Meet Monster Pig. An 11-year-old Alabama boy used a pistol to kill a wild hog his father says weighed a staggering 1,051 pounds and measured 9-feet-4 from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail. Think hams as big as car tires.
If the claims are accurate, Jamison Stone's trophy boar would be bigger than Hogzilla, the famed wild hog that grew to seemingly mythical proportions after being killed in south Georgia in 2004.

Hogzilla originally was thought to weigh 1,000 pounds and measure 12 feet in length. National Geographic experts who unearthed its remains believe the animal actually weighed about 800 pounds and was 8 feet long.

Regardless of the comparison, Jamison is reveling in the attention over his pig, which has a Web site put up by his father—http://www.monsterpig.com —that is generating Internet buzz.

"It feels really good," Jamison, of Pickensville, said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. "It's a good accomplishment. I probably won't ever kill anything else that big."

Jamison, who killed his first deer at age 5, was hunting with father Mike Stone and two guides in east Alabama on May 3 when he bagged Hogzilla II. He said he shot the huge animal eight times with a .50- caliber revolver and chased it for three hours through hilly woods before finishing it off with a point-blank shot.

Through it all there was the fear that the animal would turn and charge them, as wild boars have a reputation of doing.

"I was a little bit scared, a little bit excited," said Jamison, who just finished the sixth grade on the honor roll at Christian Heritage Academy, a small, private school.

His father said that, just to be extra safe, he and the guides had high-powered rifles aimed and ready to fire in case the beast with 5- inch tusks decided to charge.

With the pig finally dead in a creek bed on the 2,500-acre Lost Creek Plantation, a commercial hunting preserve in Delta, trees had to be cut down and a backhoe brought in to bring Jamison's prize out of the woods.

It was hauled on a truck to the Clay County Farmers Exchange in Lineville, where Jeff Kinder said they used his scale, which was recently calibrated, to weigh the hog.

Kinder, who didn't witness the weigh-in, said he was baffled to hear the reported weight of 1,051 pounds because his scale—an old, manual style with sliding weights—only measures to the nearest 10.

"I didn't quite understand that," he said.

Mike Stone said the scale balanced one notch past the 1,050-pound mark, and he thought it meant a weight of 1,051 pounds.

"It probably weighed 1,060 pounds. We were just afraid to change it once the story was out," he said.

The hog's head is now being mounted on an extra-large foam form by Jerry Cunningham of Jerry's Taxidermy in Oxford. Cunningham said the animal measured 54 inches around the head, 74 inches around the shoulders and 11 inches from the eyes to the end of its snout.

"It's huge," he said. "It's just the biggest thing I've ever seen."

Mike Stone is having sausage made from the rest of the animal. "We'll probably get 500 to 700 pounds," he said.

Jamison, meanwhile, has been offered a small part in "The Legend of Hogzilla," a small-time horror flick based on the tale of the Georgia boar. The movie is holding casting calls with plans to begin filming in Georgia.

Jamison is enjoying the newfound celebrity generated by the hog hunt, but he said he prefers hunting pheasants to monster pigs.

"They are a little less dangerous."

While it is a big hog, I doubt it weighs 1,000lbs

Look how far back the people/the kid is standing back. Read the story.... 8 shots with a .500 s&w with a 3 hour chase.

Give me a break, I know some stories are stretched a little bit but come on!

I have seen this on another site and it says 16 shots and 3 hours. Why would it take that long if you actually hit it well the first time?

Notice it was taken on a 2500 acre Hunting Preserve
The Hog also looks like it is of Domestic blood and if so with good feed and enough age it is a possiablity that the Hog could go 800 pounds or more.....

This hog sure appears to have some (recently introduced) domestic tame blood. The short turned up nose & lack of shoulder is a dead giveaway. I wonder what the record weight for a domestic hog is?? Some of those yorkshire & landrace hogs get big.

I think he could shoot it as well. The Smith is compensated and to be frank, my SRH in Casull kicks harder than the .500.......now, if the big Smith wasn't sporting a compensator, it would be a different story!

That is a big kid, but... there are 500 S&W loads, and then there are 500 S&W Loads! Could have been a reduced load, like a 440 grain FNLGC over 32 grains or so of AA5744, would give a velocity of about 1000fps, would feel similar to shooting an intermediate 44 mag load. That could help explain the # of shots required to down the beast, besides the shot placement.
Load that same 440 grainer over 38 grains of H110, you get 1650+fps. Kind of a rude awakening for a full grown man, shooting that load. Doubt if the boy could handle it, let alone hold on to it!

To me this one seems to be more of a domestic oreintented hog than a feral. Do not want to disrespect the hunt or events but I'm interested in the origins of this animal. I've got a true multi-mixed bred feral hog that I adopted as a pet about a year ago. It has a proportionally longer snout to body size, is very dark red with a black stripe down the center of it's back which stands on end when excited, ears stand straight up all the time, long hair, big teeth, very lean to overall body size, and currently weighs about 275-300 lbs. Probably should not have admitted to such, because this one will also be a monster, but what the heck it's a pet anyway. This one showed up on my place late last summer when it was very dry because my place has a large body of water year round and it doesn't help that I feed all year either. R.

Rodney -- post some pics of the hog -- would love to see them!

goneballistic -- the compensator on the .500 Smiths tames them quite a bit in my humble opinion not to mention the fact that they're pretty hefty as well. Not trying to be argumentative, I just think that there are uncompensated "lesser" caliber pistols that in my opinion are more difficult to shoot.

That is true. I shot 5 thru a .500 Linebaugh conversion once, a Ruger RH with a 4" barrel. Painful, bordering on agony!

The Pig has been on the 2500 acre property at Lost river for a while. The boys father is friends with one of the owner/ operators of the place. the guy called saying they were ready to kill the pig because he was becoming a problem "tearing up fences" and the like. the kid was brought down specificaly for the kill to enhance the story.
Was it 1000 pounds? yeah or close to it.
was it an 11 year old that killed it? yep he's 11.
was it bred and fattened up and placed for the kill?
yeah, the whole thing was staged as a publicity stunt to increase buisness at lost river.
what do you want to bet they are booked solid on pig hunts till deer season?

Believe it or not I saw this critter last year out by the water where I feed. It was a Wednesday eve and I was about to take the trash out when I glanced out the window and noticed her out there feeding from the corn. Being a weeknight and having to work the next day I didn't want to have fool with dressing out this critter so I figured I'd take her out Saturday morning and put her in the freezer, the plan was set. Thursday eve like clockwork she was out there again, Friday eve same thing and I got the ole smokepole ready to go to work in the morning. Well Saturday morning I'm real quiet in the house looking outside not seeing the darn thing, so I ease out the door and low and behold she in the fence up close to the house with the dogs- couldn't believe it the darn pig had just moved in and became one of the dogs just that quick. Later I found the place where she pushed here way under the fence to get in. It took about 3 months for me to get close enough to her to reach out a hand to try to pet her but she took to the dogs right away. Some dogs huh! Anyhow she is a sow or better put hambone. I'm the only one that can get close to her. She charges at people and then makes a sound like a dogs bark and runs away. I'm understanding that this is not that uncommon of thing. Did not want to hijack this thread but I wanted to show some pics of how fast these critters can grow. This was a span of about 8 months. R.

Negative Comments & e-mails

Warning!!! Your Negative e-mails may be posted and some of you will be Prayed for.

I am writing to voice my concern over the killing of this unusual animal. I am most concerned that an 11 year old believes that killing something so unique is "an accomplishment". I wonder what sort of people raise their children to be proud of killing defenceless animals. Regardless of it's size, animals are no competition for a human using gun and shooting from a safe distance away. This behaviour is cowardly- like hitting someone from behind. Instead of feeling proud, this boy should feel ashamed for putting an animal through three hours of suffering for no reason at all. I expect parents to teach children about compassion and appreciation for life. If he had been encouraged to shoot with a camera instead of a gun, people around the world could have benefitted from this encounter.

Please post my email in your negative response section. I see that you are strategically posting only the most radical and offensive emails, no doubt to try and demonstrate that anyone against this killing is an extremist.

hurry up enlist in the Army, I want to see you chased and shot at. And maybe beheaded on video for us to see....I will laugh while eating my veggie burger

What the fuck is your fucking problem you fat ass bitch. You fucking killed a fucking innocent little pig. Does it make your fat ass feel good to kill such an innocent creature. Wow congratufuckinglations you fat ass fucking cunt. I hope the boars babies come back alive and eat your sausage link penis you, fat piece of shit. Fucking fat redneck. I hope demons come and haunt your fat ass for the rest of your life. Do you think your hot shit for this bitch? Well your not fat ass. Burn in hell you rotten piece of shit. FUCK YOU!!!!! FUCKING FAT ASS REDNECK PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!!!!!

I have to congratulate you because I didn't think it was possible for an 11 yr old as large as yourself to chase a pig for three hours in hilly terrain. Well done, fat boy! For real though. Killing an animal about half your size does not make you a hero, or a model american, or anything else anybody might say you are. It certainly does not make you worthy of being in a movie.
You are a worthless piece of crap and i hope one day another noble american hunter such as yourself mistakes you for a large hog and shoots you about 12 times before your fat ass drops dead. They'll definately need another backhoe in the woods to pick your body up with. I hope you're enjoying your fame. Satan is going to have fun with you when you rot in hell.
God Bless.

Congratulations on killing a rare animal. Hope you're really proud of yourself. If you ate that pig, I hope it was carrying some kind of disease. The world would be better off without people like you.

I would like to order one of these terrorist pigs for my kids to kill so they can be good americans. How much are they and how do we get into the movies business by killing them? Could we shoot with canon or grenade for to make different than Jamison's? How can we buy pig that is guaranteed homosexual to make killing more good? Thank you and god bless you good american boy.

what the hell, you fat ass, innocent animal killing, red neck hillbilly you must think your so cool for killing a defenseless pig, then you make it a trophy!? that's disgusting. i don't know which is worse the fact that you shot the innocent creature for three hours strait or that you where smirking in that picture. I wish i could beat that smirk right of your face you dick head. i cant understand why anybody would kill a poor animal. You people disgust me, I hope you rot in hell.

Its really not your fault, I am thinking as I read all those negative emails coming in. Yes while it is true that you definitely commited an act of terrorism, much
like our president does each day upon arising, Its not you. Its your father and your fathers father and soon. They were probably slave owners way back when and
even earlier on performed acts of terror on the original land owners of America, The Native Americans, who would kill only what they needed to survive. Its a sad,sad thing that has been taught to innocent children like yourself. And to further strenghten this atrocity, I will bet your misguided, mentally ill father cheered you on, and you only wanted to make him
proud, like most children. It makes me think of something I read in the big book of Alcoholics Anonymous about the warped lives of blameless children. I will try to start a prayer circle for you to help repair your damaged soul. P.S. There are all sorts of agencies that can help you undo the damage inflicted by the your forefathers, and mothers, most likely. Family and children services, counselors, spiritual centers, guidance counselors, stc. But one thing be warned! Stay away from southern christen counseling. They will most likey brainwash you into thinking you commited a great act of bravery, they too are extremely misguided. See if your Father will join you. There just might be hope for him as well.
You have a long road of reconstruction ahead. But you will be amazed at your new found strenghth and serenity as you mend
Take Care, and hoping that peace may come your way

Love the animals. God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble it, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness, don't work against God's intent.
-Dostoyevsky

You are a typical American Christian, fat and eager to kill. See you in hell, son.

Joseph

You are pathetic, Its too bad that it didn't turn around and sit on your sorry ass!!!

What kind of hard on can an eleven year old boy get when his "excited" father and guides get to ejaculate over killing. Oh, isn't it so exciting. Jesus ate fish and as a Jew would never have touched a pig. Christian indeed. Did Jesus carry a weapon? Hunting should be outlawed. Wild animals have a tough time of survival as it is without having to be killed for
someone's entertainment. Why don't you go out into the woods naked and try to survive by drinking from creeks, digging grubs and burrowing into some kind of hole for shelter, let alone have to avoid hunters like yourself. Someday I hope you have the courage to look back on killing this tremendous animal and feel the guilt and shame for doing so. It's not likely someone so young has the capacity to question what their parents teach but my hope for you is that someday you realize their error, put the gun away and go on to better things.

Your parents are great parents letting you run around with a gun at the age of 11. What's next? I suppose taking it to school and seeing how many classmates you can knock off? I would have been impressed if you would have killed it in fair game......but you went the cowardly way and used a gun.Fatty!!!!

Congratulations. By breaking the 6th commandment you've earned your spot in hell. Luckily not all America is like this, fat kids with guns killing innocent beasts -- and allowing Satan to delude them into believing they are doing God's work. Today I pray for your soul.

I hope you'll be shot someday.. People like you shouldn't live (yes i mean it) May you burn up in hell, pigh4ter!

Fuck the bible and fuck the fat red neck killer kid and all you red neck hillbillies good for nothing dumb ass scums.

Which one's the pig? Maybe we should stuff & mount your fat ass, kid. Just because you got lucky doesn't make you a hunter.

You've got a great career as a killer ahead of you! I hope that one day soon, you'll decide to kill your father & then youself.
Nigel Clements San Francisco, CA

An hero? You're an idiot, maybe. Only one of the many... You're the son of an insane mentality. You and your comrades have not respect for nothing. But it's the tradition of your country (I mean the USA) to shoot everything without thinking. If this story is true and not a publicity stunt ask yourself who is the real monster. That creature or the idiot capable only to shoot everything with his .50? Sorry for my english, I'm Italian and I can't express exactly what I think.

Fuck you, you stupid redneck, killing a defenseless animal. Too bad the pig didn't have a gun to make it fair, then he could have shot your ass 10 times. Imagine the pain and suffering it went through while you terrorized it in its final moments of life. Funny how you go to a Christian school. You're just another southern, stupid, bible stompin red neck. Rot in hell asshole.

YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED NOT PROUD! WHY DIDNT YOU JUST PUT YOUR NAME ON WITH MAJIC MARKER TO SHOW YOU COULD "HAVE" KILLED HIM BUT THAT YOU WERE A BETTER PERSON THAN TO TAKE HIS LIFE. SENSELESS AND SHAMEFUL> I HAVE 4 GRANDSONS AND 2 GRANDDAUGHTERS AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TAUGHT TO RESPECT ANIMALS AND TO SHELTER THEM, NOT KILL THEM. I HAVE ADOPTED A DOG FROM AN ABUSE CENTER 9 YRS. YRS. I WOULD IMAGINE THE DOG LIVED WITH A CRUEL FAMILY SUCH AS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FROM THE WAY THE ANIMAL LOOKED.I DONATE TO 6 ANIMAL FACILITIES WOLVES,ELEPHANTS.BIG CATS, HORSES, CATS, DOGS AND I TAKE FOOD AND TOYS AND BLANKETS, ETC. TO HUMANE SOCIETY. PROUD OF YOURSELF YOU SHOULD BE VERY ASHAMED. HOW MANY OTHER ANIMALS HAVE YOU CAUGHT OR OUTRAN AND FOR NO REASON KILLED THEM. MAYBE SOMEDAY SOMEONE WILL OUTRUN YOU AND GUESS WHAT I HOPE?

FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?? YOU LITTLE FAT ASS PUNK!!! THINK YOUR SO COOL CUZ YOU SHOT A HUGE PIG! JUST BECAUSE IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PIGS DOESNT MEAN THAT IT DOESNT HAVE A LIFE, A MATE, A FAMILY!!!! HOW WOULD U LIKE IT IF U WERE KILLED FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN UR FAT!?! I WOULD SURE BE HAPPY!

what the fucks wrong with u pig haters! what did that piggy do to you!? I hope your happy. a pig like that doesn't come along to often. but did you tag it for research? no. did you study it for science? no. did you let it free and let it go home to its family? no. yeah jerk, go be proud of killing a nice animal. I can imagine you now! "dude! check it out! I just killed one of the biggest pigs in the world! doesn't that make me cool or something!?" I hope that the pig goes to heaven and you don't. can U imagine what you put that pig through? that's horrible! you people disgust me! screw u pig haters! i hope you go to jail for being a retard and killing that pig! honestly, i was going to write more hateful things about you, but your not worth it. so thanks. thank for killing that wonderful pig, and thanks for wasting my time. and thanks for being a jerk.

let the flaming begin (on me that is) but that in no way is hunting, that's friggin torture. I hope someday that 11 year old kid has the honor of experiencing being shot for 3 hours as well (yeah, I said it!)
I'd like to say that I'm surprised that someone named "Bubba" aired it, but I'm not. BTW, I'm not kidding....here's hoping for a wonderful hunting accident one day!

I am not an active animal rights activist but I believe in "compassionate killing". I hope the thoughts of the 3 hours of suffering you inflicted on this animal with your 16 gunshot wounds will haunt you for for the rest of your life.

what did that pig do to you? jerk

I am appalled!! Why would you want to hunt this pig in the first place. Of course the pig ran for at least a mile, it was trying to get away from a crazed killer. If you just wanted to kill the pig why didn’t you use something to kill it instantly instead of torturing the poor thing for three hours. What kind of “pig†are you and what kind of parents do you have that will allow this and glorify it. Shame on you and shame on Rick and Bubba for expressing their excitement in this massacre.

Did it make you feel good to kill?

Just a quick question, You attend a Christian college and yet kill so freely. Does not the Old Testament say ‘do unto others’ I have To ask the question, if said boar ran for 3 hours, Would it be ‘do unto others BEFORE ‘or ‘AS they would unto you?’ To experience the kill is exhilarating ( I know from hunting boars in Australia myself ) But, is it worth the moment to take a life as it is to spend an eternityin damnation for breaking one of the original commandments “thou shall not killâ€. I have accepted my eternity, have you?

Wish a thousand pound hogzilla would run out in front of there vegtable oil burning diesel mercedes! Can not and don't want to understand anti-hunting groups. We are over-run with mixed bred gone wild hogs and there needs to be many more of them taken. It wouldn't surprise me if the pig population were to soon out number whitetail deer in East Texas.
