I hope that is not the case, that will be the end of the lion in Zambia then, they will be killed anyway and there will be no $$$ cooming in for it.

Do not trust anything Lionaid puts on their website. They have a history of lying simply to get more donations as well as trying to take credit for outcomes they had no influence over.

I certainly do NOT trust anything Lionaid puts on their website. Nor do I reject it out-of-hand. That's why I am looking for outside corroboration. Perhaps there is someone on this site who is involved with the hunting scene in Zambia who has additional background information.

Spot on. They actually already took credit for "assisting" in closing "lion hunting" in Zambia. It was on their facebook page the other day. Morons.

You are all absolutely right in what you say but these same morons are still able to advertise their drivel and get both the moral and financial support they want from the rest of the anti-hunting groups, in a far more effective way compared to the efforts (half-hearted) lobbied by the pro-hunting sector.

Too often have there been remarks to the effect "they can't do anything, its our right to hunt, we hunt to conserve", etc. etc. - all very logical to logically minded people but they are beginning to outnumber us and probably already have.
Who protects a hunter's rights - Jackson Force,
personal views by individuals like Boddington, Carter, Charlton, etc.? while on the other side you also have Obama and Biden doing their bit to make life easier for the American citizen?

Admittedly gun control has nothing to do with hunting but will still have some repercussions in the industry.

Folks, get your hunting done as soon as possible as there may be no tomorrow.

Seems that they were right ?!
It is indeed a very sad day for all of us.
I only hope now that countries around do not follow this tremendously wrong move.

I have just received confirmation that prime hunting areas will be closed for 1 year. Cats will no longer be on license until their numbers have been established.
