Dave,
Those are some great photos. I especially enjoyed the 7th photo, the one of the bull elephant, and the great leopards. Looks like Rober Whittall Safaris had a fabulous season!

475GuyRW sure seems to get up on some really good leopards. As always, nice pics.
Lo do they call to me,
They bid me take my place
among them in the Halls of Valhalla,
Where the brave may live forever.
Are these pictures from Humani, Chewore or both (or somewhere all together different?)??

Magnificent leopard!

Bill CSome great pictures Dave, thanks for posting. It is great to have somebody like yourself "on the ground" posting as the season unfolds. I love the mop on that eland, what a super trophy.
It is a bit sad to see the black rhino w/the sawed-off horn, but at least he is still alive. Tracking that one in 05 was one of the coolest things...wonder if it was the same guy.
What's with the fire engine red Cruiser, lose one too many in the bush?

You must tell that one to Peter Wood.

David Hulmemho, the leopards are from both Humani and Chewore. We have taken a couple of great leopards in Chewore this year - unusually large for Chewore cats.
Scruffy, yes, your book did arrive. I just got it yesterday, when I arrived in town. Thanks ever so much, I was going to write to you tonight. The book looks great and I shall read it during this forthcoming hunt. I have skimmed through it already. I see you have a fine sense of humour Sir. Thanks again

I shall be going down to the valley in the 'red devil' tomorrow with Pete and shall tell him! Yes, it's a good one.
The word is that Richard Tabor's client has shot a massive lion in Chewore. What a great year PH Tabor is having. I shall be posting updates in two weeks, when I return.

eyedocAnd Miss Sarah also- We mustn't forget her.

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

BwannaIs that a black rhino? It looks like a white - but I probably don't know what I'm talking about.
23 June 2007, 21:06
Larry 1951Yes a black Rhino. Mother was killed by Poachers.
