And not point the gun at anyone even when running.

Damn Todd, you are a better man than me. In that heat, I would have had to wear shorts.

Very well done Todd. Some lose their minds in that thick stuff up close and personal.

Just giving you grief. Good shooting. Very exciting. Aren't you went on a work out program and lost a bit of weight? Makes the running easier. That's what I'm in the process of right now. Trying to get my legs in shape for June.
glad you made it home safely.

Congrats to the hunter and PH for a tremendous job!

Shootaway;
Why do you write such crap on a POST like this?

I have tried to understand some of your posts and have even gone out of my way to apologize/explain if something I have posted, appeared to be taken the wrong way by you.

No more

Gentlemen,

In order to honor the moment and the memory of Todd's hunt please only respond to the positive and do not let the negative interfere with this joyful and well executed hunt. This is the only thing anybody on this site should ever see when it comes to the idiotic or the mentally ill who more than occasionally post here.

Todd, excellent shooting under extreme conditions and stress and very good running skills for a half crippled up old man too. Wink Nice work and a wonderful bull to boot.

GREAT HUNT!!!!!!
The cameraman must be an intelligent type fellow with a fairly strong will to survive. By the time Blake got his second "come back" out, he was leading the charge outta there.
Todd, I don't know that I could do what you did.

Great piece of video, that! Another well done to you Todd, and nice job sorting him out.

My next Ele will be around September, partly because I am too old to hunt under the conditions experienced on this hunt conducted in December!

See you at DSC and I'm buying! beer Cheers!

Thanks again guys. I'm glad you enjoyed the video as I really enjoyed the hunt. Overall, it was a very strenuous hunt with the heat and miles spent tracking, topped off with this very exciting day on the island.

Rick, no doubt I could not have done this hunt in the physical shape I was in last year. I was lucky to have gotten back into shape without re-injury this time and hope to continue since the plan the doctors worked out for me seem to have worked well.

I have to say that Blake and Raymond were both outstanding throughout the hunt, as was Blake's team of trackers and driver. They are a joy to be around and I never cease to be amazed at their skills in reading spoor.

Without a doubt, this final day of our hunt, day 11, was the most exciting day of dangerous game hunting I've ever done. Ivory weight was a little short of the Zambezi Valley average but man oh man, I wouldn't trade that experience for anything, except for the opportunity to do it again perhaps!

Thanks again for taking the time to watch my video. I do hope it was entertaining.

Cheers!

I whole-heartedly congratulate you on your
exciting, challenging, DG Hunt! I am sure that
you will have such wonderful detailed memories
for the rest of your life!

I have not been there. I have not done that.

Please forgive my following questions.

1- That first elephant that required the
warning shot, it was a cow, correct?

1a- A bull you would have shot, yes?

2- Even watching the vid three times, I could
not spot the elephant who came for you all, after
you killed yours. Am I missing that ghost, or
is that beast not in the video?

3- How many yards were your shots that killed
your elephant?

4- After you fired your second shot, were you
able to reload as you ran while evading the
charging ele?

Best regards, clap

D/R Hunter

Todd very enjoyable and exciting to watch. damn good shooting. You didn't stop to pick up your empties but Smiler

A question if I may, I notice you wear glasses as I do, any hints on stopping fogging during those sweating moments. I tend to sweat from the head more so than the wet shirt stuff and it can be a bloody nuisance at times. I see you took your cap off, I find this does help to keep glasses clear.
