One of the beautiful Mozambique sunrises - when there's no fog for a change! This one over the Nhamasembe river where we set up camp when hunting Croc & Hippo - and some of the best Waterbuck in the world. The colours range from gold to a deep purple as the smoke and dust of the late season has an effect. Play misty for me... A lone figure appearing from the very typical early morning fog over the delta. Jim Haney's crocodile. His face says it all. The Bahati crocodile recovery team in action. Coera (PH) and Renamo (Tracker) and a volunteer helper (at the back) get stuck in to get the beast into a mokorro and the skinners. Mara with a nice Leopard taken one morning. Leopard is hard work and the glow on his face shows the satisfaction of a focussed hunt that worked out. An interesting perspective of the Nhamasembe river. The place crawls with Croc when conditions are right. The eternal winner. What would a safari be without a campfire and the camaraderie of fellow hunters? Many of the world problems have been sorted out here, but sometimes the implementation lacks a little ... Four crocs "in loose formation" at Nhamasembe. These were taken by four Finnish eye surgeons that hunt together. A slice of beauty captured off the Mozambican coastline approaching Vilanculos airport. On a clear day, you may be blessed to see some of the most beautiful images on earth. Ah, the African sunsets are legendary. Jerry took this picture. It symbolizes the smoky Mozambican sunsets and brings back many pleasant memories. This is what my Warthog skull turned out like. It is right behind me a I'm typing this. I hope you guys enjoy this small peek into my world as much as I do. I am truly blessed, because for me, business and pleasure are one. Not long now ... Johan | ||
